The Class 08 shunter, always had a soft spot in my heart as it was one of the first OO gauge trains I had back in the early 1980s. Still got it up in the loft somewhere 😀

A fantastic journey back to work today, due to the engineering works on west coast, we went round via Birmingham and saw 08460, then passed 66508 heading a container load for @RailFreight . Brand new 720602/610/611 for @c2c_Rail in Wembley along with 70016.

45690, 4-6-0 Leander heads the “Irish Mail” train into Holyhead today for @westcoastrail before reversing light engine to Valley triangle and reversing back to Holyhead for her return journey to Liverpool. Built in 1936, this former LMS was a magnificent sight and sound 😀

Just noticed on this recent Class 70811, the Colas cab logo is not the diamond, but some helmet. Has anyone else seen this on other Class 70s?

After almost 3 months, a very poorly 67022 sits at Bangor. Why they don’t tow it back to Crewe to fix her…..

Maybe controversial, but I do think that over time the Azuma will gain love in the train spotting community as it does have nice lines. But for the moment, 91110 still wins for me @225groupuk @_TMsteve

The wonderful Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 mountains of Snowdonia, are home to a plethora of various narrow gauge railways. @SnowdonRailway @LakeRailway @festrail

A regular trip through London Kings Cross wouldn’t be the same without a quick spot of the usual residents. @LNER Class 91 “Flying Scotsman”, @GC_Rail Class 180, LNER Azuma 800201 and @TLRailUK Class 717 (first of this type for me)

The amazing airy architecture of @NetworkRailKGX by Lewis Cubitt in 1852 can still be marvelled at today (albeit with a few modern additions) as two @LNER Azuma await departure, perhaps @_TMsteve Tuesday 23rd May at 10:00?

Do you think @geofftech that we might see a new Maquette on the @Se_Railway Class 395 Javelins as they prepare to enter into refurbishment after 14 years of service? Replacing the bland single blue seats?

A long range shot, taken whilst in Tanger Med port (Morocco 🇲🇦) a relaxed driver brings DH-421 for @ONCFgroup with a load of cars, to be loaded onto ships. June 2016.

One of my oldest train photos, 47500 “Great Western” passing Rhosneigr, Anglesey. Approx 1990, so I would have been 13 😳

For sure there aren’t many more civilised ways of reviewing this mornings photos than with a @CostaCoffee on @Se_Railway HS1 to Dover, with @225groupuk 91101 “Flying Scotsman”
