Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart, who passed away today at the age of 86. Perhaps best known for his iconic role as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Stewart spent the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown sharing videos of himself reading Shakespeare’s sonnets. Notably, he was once joined by his neighbor’s cat Glenn who appeared unimpressed by Sonnet 40.

Patrick Stewart slams Donald Trump as a failing leader:

This one hurts. Walter was a kind, humble and loving man…and a friend. He will be missed by so many. My dad is joined with his friend in heaven.

She’s not alone. Other Tennessee voters have reported similar problems while attempting to vote for Democrats.

The very first Mario actor, “Captain” Lou Albano passed away seventeen years ago at 76, leaving behind one of the strangest and most unforgettable crossover legacies of his era.
To wrestling fans, Albano was already a larger-than-life personality, one of the most recognizable managers of the 1970s and ’80s whose wild look, booming personality and chaotic energy made him impossible to ignore.
Then an entirely different generation met him as Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, where he portrayed the character in live action and voiced him in the animated segments. For countless kids, Albano became one of the earliest human faces ever associated with Nintendo’s most famous hero.
That is what made his career so unusual. He didn’t simply move between wrestling and television. He became memorable in two completely different corners of childhood nostalgia.
Seventeen years later, wrestling fans still remember Captain Lou, and Mario fans still remember the man in the red cap and overalls.
Few entertainers could claim they helped define both the ring and the Mushroom Kingdom. Lou Albano could.
Rest in paradise, Captain Lou. 🤍
