How Trump’s endorsement of Netanyahu could change Israel’s electoral map
Analysis by @traiman

Trump's endorsement of Netanyahu can change Israel's electoral map, both ahead of elections and immediately after.

Obama takes aim at Israel. Netanyahu fires back.
Two radically different views of Israel’s history, military power and right to defend itself collide.
🔥 "JLMinute" drops tonight on #JNS_TV YouTube. Alex @traiman @Joshhasten
Bravo to @davidamilstein, an honest, competent and most importantly effective policymaker and protector of the powerful US-Israel alliance.
The headline of the NY Times article, citing anonymous sources should be:
Failed Liberal Career Diplomats Mad that Effective Conservative Blocks their Anti-Israel Policy Preferences
Following up on Ambassador Mike Huckabee's tweet:
The New York Times has published a vile attack on David Milstein, my stepson. It was slapped on the front page with an intentionally provocative headline, to draw as much attention as possible. The story is filled with anonymous sources -- disgruntled bureaucrats, no doubt -- for the purpose of providing the leakers with cover. Meanwhile, the one named source in the story, Ambassador Mike Huckabee, declared that he "personally and categorically refutes" the story. This is yet another attack on the President's appointees.
The use of anonymous sources, as the Times knows, makes it virtually impossible to defend oneself, while enabling the anonymous leakers wide latitude to smear and deceive. What is clear, however, is that there were numerous unlawful and potentially dangerous leaks committed by the Times' anonymous sources. Diplomatic Security should immediately conduct an investigation and identify those responsible.
By the way, knowingly creating a false impression of misconduct can be defamation by implication. If I were the Times, I would preserve the records. All rights reserved.

.@Politico put out a BS article today attacking my friend @davidamilstein who works in the US Embassy in Jerusalem.
David was a staffer for many years in my office in the Senate, and he now works for the great @GovMikeHuckabee
His step-father is the one-and-only @marklevinshow
David has served America in both Trump administrations. He is serious, hardworking, and committed, and he is one of the most effective officials advancing President Trump's America First policy in the Middle East. I've known him for a decade, and he has my full support.
Meanwhile, Politico has repeatedly published antisemitic dual loyalty conspiracy theories about American Jews serving in the Trump administration, with implicit insinuations and explicit quotes about getting them fired. They are part of a broader antisemitic campaign on both the left and right aimed at excluding American Jews from public life. Their reporters and editors use anonymous and often single sources to promote these antisemitic attacks.
It’s garbage. They put this hit piece out on the last day of Yom Kippur, and right before his wedding.
Everyone involved should be ashamed.
Alex Traiman retweeted
Can’t believe I have to debunk this BS on Yom Kippur, but with a lot of Israelis offline today, somebody has to.
This Politico Playbook story about David Milstein is such a spectacular non-story that I genuinely have no other explanation for how it became the lead item of one of Washington’s supposedly premier political newsletters besides total and complete Israel Derangement Syndrome.
Of all the actual corruption, grift and shady behavior among America’s political class, THIS is what @adamwren and his colleagues decided was worthy of a “counterintelligence” scandal?
An American official getting married in Israel and following completely ordinary Israeli wedding customs is not some nefarious influence-peddling scheme.
Here’s something Wren, @joekent16jan19, and the thousands of basement-dwellers hyperventilating about this on X might have learned by speaking to literally one Israeli:
This is what people do when they get married in Israel.
People give MONEY at weddings. Not blenders. Not china sets. Money. Registries aren’t really a thing here.
For decades, wedding halls have had giant safes where guests drop envelopes containing checks and cash. The practice is so ubiquitous that Israeli police licensing guidance literally has a section governing the “guest-envelope safe.”
In 2004, Ynet reported on a survey that found that 85% of Israelis gave cash or checks as event gifts.
And now that money-transfer apps like Bit and PayBox are ubiquitous in Israel, much like Zelle is in the U.S., people send wedding gifts through those instead of carrying around a check or wad of cash.
Israeli wedding companies openly advertise services that send guests payment links for Bit and PayBox. Welcome RSVP will literally send guests a WhatsApp message on the wedding day with a link to give their gift. AttendIt gives guests personal payment links after they RSVP.
A Bit link for wedding gifts is about as suspicious in Israel as hummus on a Friday morning.
Maybe learn something about the country you’re writing about before turning an utterly mundane Israeli wedding custom into a national-security scandal.
Mark Levin’s stepson, David Milstein, who serves as an advisor to the U.S. ambassador to Israel, is soliciting cash gifts from Israeli citizens. On its face, this is just blatantly corrupt considering his official position, and invites a litany of counterintelligence threats.
It also gives us a glimpse into how the pro-Israel echo chamber operates—
Levin’s stepson and his boss, US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, are given Israeli talking points by Israeli officials. For example: “Iran is about to develop a nuclear weapon & we must attack now! Should only take 3-4 weeks for the regime to collapse…”
Huckabee & Milstein then deliver these Israeli talking points via official US gov channels.
Milstein also sends the talking points to his stepdad, Israel-first Fox News host Mark Levin, currently a favorite of President Trump’s.
President Trump is briefed on the Israeli taking points from the State Department via the official channels, then tunes into Levin on Fox and hears the same talking points(!).
Now, Milstein is offering people a chance to buy his attention with a nice cash “gift,” and then maybe he’ll help them get their talking points to his stepdad & in front of President Trump.
Until we make accepting money from any entity or person loyal to any nation other than the United States legitimately and unbearably toxic for our leaders, this problem will persist and our policies will continue to be influenced by the interests of those who continue to put America last. This cannot stand.

Vance also said that Trump is the first president in 40 years to break with. Netanyahu. He must have missed the Obama and Biden presidencies. Pro-Israel voters backed Trump/Vance because Trump, at least, wouldn’t take pointless potshots at Israel that flatter our shared enemies.
JD Vance just said “we cannot let our Middle Eastern foreign policy be subservient to the state of Israel.”
Our U.S. foreign policy has never been subservient to Israel’s foreign policy. He knows that. Why would he need to say that unless he’s trying to politically gain some points with Israel haters?
We are the superpower of the world. A presidential candidate of the USA should have the experience and the confidence to stand with one of our greatest allies in the world without hesitation. Unafraid.
We have never been, nor will we ever be, subservient to Israel. 🙌🏽🇺🇸🇮🇱

Jewish Americans owe @TheLeoTerrell an enormous debt of gratitude. He is relentless in the fight against antisemitism, pouring his heart and soul into confronting Jew hatred wherever it rears its ugly head.
I enjoyed listening to his substantive conversation with @JNS_org CEO/Jerusalem bureau chief @traiman at the @RJC Leadership Summit and learning more about the impactful steps this administration is taking to combat antisemitism. This is what leadership looks like.

Trump is now facing the same realities Netanyahu has confronted since Oct. 7. His similar approach shows Netanyahu’s decisions were not simply weakness or indecision writes Alex @Traiman, but a response to the real constraints facing any responsible leader managing a complex, multifront war.

Thanks @HilzFuld. You are a rockstar and a tireless defender of Israel the Jewish people.
First meeting of the week, the legendary @traiman, CEO JNS.org.
I’ve been following this organization for longer than I can remember, and I was always impressed, but in my book, they reached a whole new level with their recent conference, which was pretty much the most professional conference I’ve been to in years, and definitely in Israel!
We sat and talked about how quickly the organization is growing, how much there is a need for what they do, and how I could be helpful in any way.
Always impressed with Alex, and what he’s doing is super incredible for Israel and the world.
An honor to call him a good friend.
Great talking with @DBrodyReports and @TBatesNews and @RealDrGina on @RealAmVoice about @IsraeliPM Netanyahu's election chances, the relationship between @netanyahu and @POTUS, whether Syria will enter Lebanon, and Erdogan. Important analysis for #MAGA community.
TRAIMAN: F-35S FOR TURKEY WOULD BE "AN EXISTENTIAL THREAT" TO ISRAEL
Alex @Traiman: Netanyahu views arming Erdogan's Turkey as a direct danger, while sending an "Erdogan-backed terrorist" like Syria's al-Sharaa to fight Hezbollah is "a total nonstarter."

There could be no stronger ambassador of the US-Israel alliance. We are blessed that President Trump appointed you to be a clarion call in this critical moment.
Many thanks to @IsraeliPM @netanyahu for addressing #jns26 @JNS_org. An inspirational meeting for over 700 in attendance. A must watch.
The PM discussed how the IDF prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and preventing the annihilation of Israel.

The statements by Trump are absurd, and no way for a US President to speak to an ally. The President reserves the nicest comments for Israel’s enemies, including Erdogan, Al Thani and al-Shaara.
The President, with his string of recent comments, and his saving of Iran’s regime along with its terror proxies, risks turning into an Israeli adversary.
This may play into Netanyahu’s sweet spot. Netanyahu has deftly managed the war on multiple fronts, dealing with all kinds of diplomatic pressures.
And historically, Netanyahu has been at his best when dealing with adversarial presidents.
