If we had 400 million swords in this country and people were encouraged to wield swords in public spaces, there is no doubt we’d have lots more injuries and deaths by swords.
This isn’t hard. More guns means more gun violence.

Does anyone know why @cnn is not showing their much-publicized 9/11 documentary?
Though I am an American, my admiration for ERII is immense. May my grandgirl Lizzy be inspired by the humility and commitment this woman displayed throughout her life.

Tonight, bipartisan members of Congress passed legislation to address the scourge of gun violence across America.
Our kids and our nation will be safer because of this legislation. The House of Representatives should promptly vote and send it to my desk.

Four people were killed in Tulsa on Wednesday after a gunman -- who was later found dead -- opened fire on the second floor of a medical building, authorities in Oklahoma said. cnn.it/3xn1f2b
Another deadly shooting, this time in Tulsa, way too close to people I love. I confess I am finding it harder to obey Christ’s exhortation to “be not afraid.”
Lord have mercy on all who are weeping in Tulsa this morning.

Spent the afternoon with our grandgirl exploring “Narnia”— lovely open green space with plenty of trees— and made the most incredible discovery: the farm right behind has a herd of Highland Cows.
We will now go to that farm and become friends.
It’s half past midnight and I just sent in my first 5000 wds of my doctoral project—so of course I’m wide awake. And will have a massive vulnerability hangover tomorrow.

After shouts of Hosanna, Jesus enters the temple & clears out those who have used religion to exploit people.
He then welcomes the blind & lame in the temple & heals them.
Holy Week reminds us that Jesus has a furious & passionate love for those the world has little regard for.
Apologies in advance of what I’m about to say is ignorant or insensitive (pls tell me). But for fun we re-watched #LOTR The Two Towers last night, and all I could see was that Rohan was Ukraine.
It’s only a fanciful story, or maybe an allegory…til it’s not.
