T21 for Hideki at the Baycurrent Classic ✅ He played well on Sunday with a 67 (-4) and it’s a good finish for him, especially considering the injury issues he’s dealing with. Not sure where we see him next, if he is feeling okay I imagine the Dunlop Phoenix.

Huge crowds for Hideki 🤯 He was on fire early today, 6 under through 7 holes! Unfortunately couldn’t see it through and went 4 over on his back nine to shoot -2. T29 at -5 heading into the final round today.

Not so good from Hideki today, shooting a 72 (+1) and drops to T30. Looked like he struggled with the putter out there. 8 shots back now, hopefully he can go out over the weekend and play some good stuff ✅

9:29am local time is Hideki’s tee time for the second round today. A good start which he can hopefully build on. Maybe another low one can get him into one of the later groupings at the weekend. Sounds like his back wasn’t great yesterday but okay. Hope he gets through it 🙏

An opening 67 (-4) for Hideki and what a way to finish! 🔥 Looked like he played some good golf, a bit of a dip in the middle of this round but fired back with 3 birdies on his back nine ✅ He is T12, and 4 back of the leader.

A 10:35am (Japanese time) tee time for Hideki today! He’s playing with Keegan Bradley and Rickie Fowler in a featured group ✅ Hopefully his back will hold up okay and give him the opportunity to go well this week. It’s all on too late for me 😅 but I’ll update post round 🙌

A little bit of a worry after pro-am day in Japan. Hideki had to withdraw after 12 holes with back pain. Sounded like he was struggling a bit at the Presidents Cup so obviously hasn’t improved since unfortunately. Hope he will be good to go tomorrow 🙏

Hideki practiced today with Koshin Nagasaki, who won Hideki’s amateur challenge to qualify. A great experience for him I’m sure 🙌

The winning moment in 2021 🏆 What a way to close out the best year of Hideki’s career 🙌

Hideki from the sand 🔥 And looks who’s back 👀 Welcome back, Shota! 🙌

It is Baycurrent Classic week! Hideki returns home to Japan for his final official PGA Tour event of the year ✅✅ A winner in 2021, although it was on a different course and event name. He was T20 last year. Hopefully he can give the home fans something to cheer this week 🙌

Internationals go down 17-13 this week. Tough loss, feels like the win may never happen. 2-2-0 record for Hideki which is okay but the singles defeat is tough to take. He had the advantage there and should’ve seen it through. Not sure there’s much good to take out of this week.

Hideki missed that and will lose the match. He’ll be disappointed with that I think, should’ve seen that out.

Very good lag from Collin and Hideki conceded the par. Will have to make a lengthy one for a halve.

Ran it a long way by. 15 feet left for par now…

Hideki can only punch one up short of the green. Will have to try and pitch one in! 30 yards away. Has to make par at least and maybe just hope Morikawa 3 putts.

Morikawa with a sensible shot to the left side of the green. Will be a lengthy one for birdie. Hideki in a bad spot here but maybe he can come up with something.

Collin finds the right side of the fairway at 18. Leaves 187 in. Hideki is further right and into the rough. Hasn’t really got an angle at the pin from there.

Missed! The hole is halved. Level going to the 18th. All he can do is make birdie.
