Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network.
In all of our interactions, the DoW displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome.
AI safety and wide distribution of benefits are the core of our mission. Two of our most important safety principles are prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use of force, including for autonomous weapon systems. The DoW agrees with these principles, reflects them in law and policy, and we put them into our agreement.
We also will build technical safeguards to ensure our models behave as they should, which the DoW also wanted. We will deploy FDEs to help with our models and to ensure their safety, we will deploy on cloud networks only.
We are asking the DoW to offer these same terms to all AI companies, which in our opinion we think everyone should be willing to accept. We have expressed our strong desire to see things de-escalate away from legal and governmental actions and towards reasonable agreements.
We remain committed to serve all of humanity as best we can. The world is a complicated, messy, and sometimes dangerous place.
Without an independent Fed, currencies fail.
Politicians in power will always print more money -> constituents will be happy in the short term -> re-election. Hyperinflation incurs and long term stability is provenly impossible.
If we can't learn from others mistakes in the past, we have no chance at a future.

Web3 Companies that heavily incentivize their players to play 3 to 10 hours per day are among the highest disrespect to their community, time, and value.
They called them "Tournaments", but it's just a funnel to attract people who don't value their time or try to survive in a 3rd world country. The latter is understandable from the player's perspective, but inflating your DAU to attract potential sponsors or deluding yourself into thinking that the project is sustainable and viable is delusional.
Even if the game is somewhat good, the burnout they went through will inevitably push them away.
Once your incentive is over, most players will leave and dump whatever they earned.
Unless you are trying to stress test your server, you should never aim for quantity over quality if you want to build a sustainable community/economy.
Valuable feedback will naturally occur in a healthy, competitive environment.
If you treat your players like modern-day time slaves, how will that inspire them to enjoy the game organically and provide the feedback that you desperately need? How will that inspire them to reinvest their money and time?
The incentive should be the cherry on top, never the whole cake, and yet most projects act like it is.
Bring back real tournaments, with high stakes for the top 8-16 that can be completed in half a day to 2 days.
Bring back real ELO-ranked systems into your games if you want to inspire your best players to organically play as much as they want, and create a virtuous cycle of inspiring newer players via spectatorship and emulation.
Top 500 distilled tournaments over the weeks are the worst kind of tournaments ever made.
It's a fight over who can waste the most time, and insta-leave the project right after dumping whatever they earned.
If you do incentivize test sessions, be deliberate about the player's time and sleep schedule and plan around it.
Is it easy? Absolutely not, but the road to success isn't the one with shortcuts.
