Today at 11:30 am individuals magnet fishing on Kendrick St at Newton line picked up what appeared to be an unexploded ordnance. @NeedhamPolice and Needham Fire responded to scene/secured the area pending arrival of @MassStatePolice Bomb Squad which will dispose
of it shortly

**UPDATE from Needham Police 12/24 at 2:30 pm**Chestnut Street at the Dover Line will be open for emergency vehicles only due to a leaking transformer. An update will be posted Tuesday morning. This may become a multi-week duration event.
Chestnut Street is still closed at the Dover Line and will be for an extended period of time due to a leaking transformer. An excavation process needs to occur. Please adhere to the road closed signs and detours.

Eastbound traffic from Millis to Medfield: Route 109 > Dover Road > Route 27. For westbound traffic from Medfield to Millis: Route 109 > Route 27 > Dover Road > Route 109. The river is expected to crest tomorrow morning (12/22) and recede over the next two days.
Dedham Ave. remains closed from George Aggot Rd. to South St. The Public Services Administration Building at 500 Dedham Ave. will be open but not be accessible by car. The Reservoir Trail is also closed.

Due to the storm and the need to clean debris and downed power lines, the Needham Public Schools will extend the school day by one hour today. Students will be dismissed one hour later than their normal dismissal time.
