StubHub/Ticketmaster/etc… all ticket resale companies are some of the most parasitic, vile, worthless enterprises and we should probably outlaw scalping as a practice.
The sickening stories keeping coming in…😢😢😢 SHAME ON YOU, @StubHub. Imagine being a kid, a HUGE @Brewers fan, and finding out you’re going to see your team play in the WORLD SERIES! ⚾️💙💛 The excitement. The anticipation. The memories you’re already imagining making. Now imagine having that excitement ripped away because a company sold your 3 tickets that you bought, that they apparently can’t deliver. That’s exactly what we’re dealing with right now. We purchased THREE tickets to the Milwaukee Brewers World Series for Game 1 last Tuesday(13th) through StubHub. We selected our section, our row, paid for our tickets, and received our order confirmation. Everything was supposed to be set. Then suddenly, StubHub tells us they’re “searching for replacement options” because they can’t provide the tickets we purchased. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How does a company accept someone’s hard earned money, confirm a purchase, and then turn around and say they can’t fulfill it?! And their solution? We can request a refund while they continue looking for tickets. THIS ISN’T ABOUT THE MONEY. It’s about the experience. It’s about the memories. It’s about the excitement of a kid, his dad, and grandpa, who thought they were going to watch their favorite baseball team play on the biggest stage in baseball. Look at the first picture. That’s the disappointment you’re creating, StubHub. A refund doesn’t replace that moment. And here’s what really bothers me… StubHub advertises a “FanProtect Guarantee” and tells customers their orders are “100% guaranteed.” Guaranteed WHAT, exactly?! Because from where we’re sitting, that guarantee doesn’t feel worth much when you can’t deliver the tickets you sold us. We did everything right. We purchased through a major ticket marketplace. We trusted the confirmation. We trusted the guarantee. Now it’s time for StubHub to make it right. We aren’t asking for anything extra. We want the three tickets we paid for, or comparable or better seats together, at no additional cost. Stubhub…DO BETTER. Please SHARE this. Not just for us, but for every fan who has trusted a ticket company with an experience that means so much more than the price of admission. ℹ️Brandon Barker

Worst person you know just made a great point… 🫩
The War Department has designated Confucius Institutes as a threat to our national security.

Realistically the comments should be filled with people demanding evidence… So often people like Musk and Trump and others make claims about how things work/how things are and do nothing to prove any of it or back any of it up. They rely on shoddy “journalists” who more often than not turn out to be paid stooges of our adversaries to churn out the most baseless slop. The elites of the US should embody the best of us and yet… we are stuck with buffoons who have no virtue. A shame really.

What’s actually going on in Ukraine is that there is a massive incentive difference between the elites and the people. The former have grown very rich off the hundreds of billions flowing to Ukraine, while the latter’s children are conscripted to die in trenches.

Thank you for shedding light on this. As a trans woman it's nice to see :)

I fear the damage is irreversible :(
“we will pay any price….to assure the success and survival of liberty.” Is this still true? Do we prize liberty or do we prize power and purse? No more clear test than the choice between Ukraine and Russia. Abandon Ukraine and we abandon liberty. Eventually even our own.

I say you’re being deliberately callous about the fact such actions would greatly increase the likelihood of mass slaughter and rape of innocent people, greenlighting the imperial ambitions of our adversary, embolden another adversary China, and further imperil our allies in Europe and Asia. If that’s your policy preference I can’t talk you out of it. But I don’t think it’s a good look or good for your soul to be so glib about the consequences of your ill-argued and poorly reasoned policy preferences. You could at least try to feign some regret at the horrors you’re encouraging.

Capitulation… So much cowardice from this administration. Trump is a perfect example of the weak men who create hard times.
Today, at President Trump’s direction, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is immediately issuing a temporary general license to allow the supply of Russian diesel to the global market.

This level of third worldism is crazy…

It just keeps getting sadder and sadder… I can’t help but wonder if Vance feels some level of shame here…
Vance: "For so long we sent a message to people if they were White or male, that we weren't going to defend your rights if you didn't belong to the right category. NO MORE."

The stupidification of the right wing in this country is one of the most insane things to watch in real time. These people are so devoid of anything of substance… they live only with labels and slogans… no virtue, no principle. It’s depressing… we need renewal…
JD Vance defines socialism “in the American context.” “I think in reality, what it means in the American context, is that you want to replace American workers with foreign workers, and you want boys to play in girls’ sports.”

Christians arguing about evil has to be one of the most interesting things to just sit and... watch...
Christians need to have honest conversations about James Talarico. He is not Christian. He is not "on our side." He is not biblical. He must not be allowed to get in office.

It really feels like the only pathway that exists currently for more right-wing types or those who may be disaffected by the lack of unifying cohesion in the country and its institutions right now is like post-liberal ideologies that can range from Theocracy to fractured localism… or some nightmare slopulist movement that glorifies stupidity and the most self-serving corruption. We need a return of virtue to liberalism.

I just don’t understand where the vitriol comes from… is it just fun for these people to say horrible things? Do they get off on it? I really want to understand… The comments of this post are truly a cesspit and I feel bad for the poster having to deal with it.
I have been called a n*gger and a f*ggot more times in the last week than I have in my whole life. That's the classic community for you I guess.

The Iraq War is the most misinterpreted and lied about conflict in history...
We killed more than half a million Iraqis for the crime of having had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11. Cheney and her father were foreign policy architects of that disaster in the Bush admin. Harris lost every single battleground state in which she campaigned with Cheney.
