We want your feedback ♟️
We are launching a pilot of a new multi-format chess rating system: Total Chess Rating.
The proposed system introduces an Elo-compatible rating that summarizes a player’s combined strength across the three major formats - it is not intended to replace the existing FIDE Classical, Rapid, or Blitz ratings.
The research was prepared by Dr. Mehmet Mars Seven from King’s College London and we are publishing it to encourage discussion from players, experts, and fans.

Imagine this: you are playing against Hikaru Nakamura, and he plays Be6 ♟️ 🤔
Maybe he is rerouting the bishop to b3. Maybe he just gave you a piece.
