I designed a Career Pathways display for my department and just DET I’m general and the display arrived today!
It looks so cool in person and I cannot wait to see it on the wall 😊

Our Digital Leaders led an assembly about staying safe online this afternoon. Each class also shared what they had been learning about as part of our focus on digital safety. Everyone did a fantastic job 👏🏻 @FifeDigiLearn
Spent a few night the past week at one of our cluster primary schools helping with their Maker Space/STEM room! Got a Rube Goldberg Machine set up and working in time for their Grande Opening of the space on Monday ☺️

S1 Numeracy using their knowledge of scale, ratio and unit conversion to take their floor plan designs and bring them to life using Homestyler!
They are absolutely loving seeing how all of their skills are useful in a real life context 😊

Taking my second S1 Numeracy class into the assembly hall to use their skill of Scale and Unit Conversion to create Floor Plans (to size) using masking tape on the floor!
45/50 minutes is not a lot of time to get this task completed so very proud of my S1s for doing so😊!
The Christmas door decorating has begun! 🎄✨(Ps it’s a hot chocolate in my mug hence the absolute state of it 😂)
This was the task! They’ve not completed it all, I was just trying to consolidate their learning by scaling up rather than down but shock horror… maths can be fun!
Really trying to remove the stigma and preconceived opinions around certain subjects ☺️
Started a Numeracy within DET project with S1s in replace of one of their Maths lessons, trying to make it as active and hands on as possible!
Today we used our knowledge of Unit Conversion and Ratio/Scale to create Floor Plans to size and it went down a treat!! 😊

The Raytheon STEM ambassador for our group was none other than ex-LA pupil Jake McGarry! Jake is an example of the great pathway Levenmouth Academy can give our young learners! Thanks again to the other schools that took part and we look forward to participating next year!

Well done to the S2 STEM group who attended the Raytheon Quadcopter Final at St.Columbas HS. After giving a presentation, they then got to fly their modified drone through a tricky obstacle course! Fantastic effort and now on to future #STEM challenges! @ORECatapult @STEMFife 🚁
