Ontario garlic is in full bloom at Allan Gardens
It's official — the 15th Annual Toronto Garlic Festival is coming to the historic Allan Gardens, a 12-acre green oasis in the heart of Toronto.
Sunday Sept 27, 2026 10 am to 5 pm Rain or Shine.
This one's shaping up to be our best yet. Join thousands of visitors across Allan Gardens park for a full day of Ontario garlic farmers, garlicky food from local makers, and desserts made with Ontario garlic (yes, really 🍮) and Garlic themed crafts, all available for purchase from our vendors, plus Culture Talks, The Garlic Breath Contest, Vampire Costume Contest and much more. And stock up on your winter garlic supply straight from the growers. 🧺
Best of all? Free admission. Just bring your appetite and your friends. 🌱

#FlashbackFriday to 2012: @ChefRobRossi teamed up with Sarafino at the Toronto Garlic Festival to demo a no-nonsense classic—Spaghetti con Aglio e Olio. Just garlic, oil, pasta, and skill. Who remembers that aroma?
Remembering Dr. Robert Litke , @wilfridlaurieruni prof @seedsdiversity member, garlic farmer & spark behind Toronto Garlic Festival. He also supported the first Stratford Garlic Fest. Bob passed away Mar 21, 2025. Thanks, Bob for sharing the passion for local garlic.
🌱 The garlic awakens.
After months underground, roots anchored and starch stored, a green shoot rises. Cell division. Chlorophyll. Photosynthesis. By July? A full bulb—potent, ready for markets + garlic fests across Ontario. A quiet miracle.
A heartfelt thanks to Mayor Chow for celebrating the humble yet powerful garlic, courtesy of Toronto Garlic Festival and Dupont by The Castle!

The tangy balsamic and molasses-like qualities of black garlic provides a counterpoint to chocolate’s polyphenolic bitterness, while its earthy richness amplifies chocolate’s nutty and caramelized notes.
We’ve had some really creative ways in which vendors have crafted garlic-inspired desserts in the past. The first one we are spotlighting is César Aguilar from Cacaitos. César created a cacao bar with two ingredients, cacao and Ontario Black Garlic. It was delicious!
