It is peculiar that once you start working, you only get 5 weeks off annually. Going from 3 months annually in school, to 5 weeks feels like a poor man's joke.

I can't remember much of Bulgaria, and it was as cheap as it was boring. I've only been in northern Finland, with Oulu being the southernmost I've been. I've driven through Sweden to get to Oslo, and Skellefteå is the southernmost I've stayed.

EDIT: I just realised that Bulgaria was cheap could be interpreted that I meant buying things there, that is not what I mean, I meant our holiday there. The cheapest hotel, the cheapest food, the cheapest activities. We basically did fuck-all.

In Norway, I've been in Nittedal in Oslo, Elverum, Abelvær in Trøndelag, Sarpsborg south of Oslo, and Bodø, the southernmost before that. I was on a work trip in Berlin last autumn; we were there for two days.

We were in Billund, visiting LEGOland and LaLandia, and my mum told me recently that when we were done there, we drove south through Denmark and through København to get home; I can't remember that at all. In fairness, I think I was 11 years old at the time.
