Zelenskyy: "When our strikes reached Yandex data centers, it suddenly became little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. Many people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, fewer provocations because there were fewer bots. It's pretty clear where those bots were coming from. If they disappeared when Yandex went offline, this proves once again that Europe is not the source of the problems." The big problem is that Russia figured out how modern society consumes information a decade ago, but the West hasn't. There are millions of bots commenting and posting Russian propaganda. There are paid influencers spreading it, with Russian bots supporting their content. There is a gigantic machine operating to radicalize and influence Western societies, and there is not enough defense in place. It doesn't just influence elections, it sows discord, engulfs societies in culture wars, radicalizes teenagers, and shapes political decisions when elected officials fail to read the room. That needs to change. And fast.

Something very 3rd place playoff about that. A win by a team that’s already lost.

The rules not to ride a bike during a marathon were brought in by the marathon cartel to prevent competition
JUST IN: Chinese fitness influencer disqualified from Berlin Marathon, dropped by sponsors after admitting she rode a bicycle during the race to “take a shortcut.”

We’re gonna need a bigger grief cycle.
Media coverage of Man City has been relentless over past few weeks. Its gone that mental, its gained more coverage than when Princess Diana sadly died in car accident in 1997. That was a national & world tradegy which should have warranted a lot more attention, but it hasn't.

I see we’re at ‘bargaining’.
I keep seeing this strip titles, including any outside of the dates cos once ‘cheated’ always cheated … Why were Leicester City allowed to win the PL in 2015/16? Accidental or not still breached FFP in 13/14, settled for £3.1m to gain an advantage to get promotion to the PL?

Are there any example, any at all, of Man City fans expressing anger at the club’s owners?

I’d be in favour of suspending the Premier League pending conclusion of Man City’s spurious appeal. Their can-kicking currently has no consequences. So create some. The league is a farce as long as they’re in it anyway. Nothing to lose.

Every statement coming out of City since the verdict is for the UK government. They know they've lost. They now want us to know that punishing City means punishing the UAE. If Burnham caves in then we've lost the league to every petrostate and Trump crony who wants a piece.
Exclusive with @AlexDooler @DNair5 UAE officials have warned the UK government that the severity of Man City’s punishment could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain, according to people familiar with the matter They consider the Premier League’s actions to have an influence on the bilateral state relationship, the people said, asking not to be identified discussing undisclosed information The extraordinary pressure comes after Andy Burnham faced criticism, including from within government, for saying Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified specifically because of the investment they bring to Britain bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

An uncomfortable problem with PSR, FFP etc. is that a lot of football fans are simply too stupid to understand any part of it. It's like trying to teach card tricks to dogs.

Given that it's clear that a) City are not going to show any contrition and b) City "irrefutable evidence" is risible, then surely they should be suspended from the Premier League during their appeal? You don't get to appeal a custodial sentence from your house.

My main hope in all this is that Micah Richards gets relegated to Teletext.

All this talk of sham sponsors makes me want to lend my support to the huge brands that support the game we all love. Brands like Knox Hydrate, which pays £78-80m to sponsor Newcastle United. What a commitment from a company that lists just 8 employees on LinkedIn. 😍

A BILLION QUID fraud. They simply have to be stripped of every ill-gotten title and banished from the Premier League. This is English football's chance to end financial doping and sportswashing once and for all. Fumble it and the game will die.

Have to say Jaissle is a total fraud. Sick of him seeing him in his too tight clothing, thinking he's so smart in interviews. I've literally seen nothing since he's become manager that I've thought is new or exciting. #nufc
