toothpick radio: love the last song from bridger's new album 'punisher'!

this is a song but still, the lines "If you've got the taste for transcendence/That translates your love into action/And participate in the fight now/For a creed you can truly believe" by @ezrafurman makes me yell, jump and feel alive 8/7

from the recent "that ex" by @rchlltrmn. I can't overstate how much I loved this book! I rarely read a book in one sitting but the flow of these poems demanded it. "If I reached a thought, I'd know I went/too far. " Ahh, so good! 7/7
from "Exit, Pursued" by @lilghosthands. I've been recently going down a rabbit hole of play poems and as I re-read this book today I can't imagine other words that express exactly how I feel right now. 6/7
from "Outside Of The Body There Is Something Like Hope" by @sadqueer4life. The first line gets me every time, tumbles me all the way through a type of sensuality that is contemporary and exciting. 5/7
from "Autobiography of Death" by @PoetKimHyesoon, translated by Don Mee Choi. The past few months have been a haze but this poem cleared my head, it felt like fresh air. All of the poems in this collection made me believe in the importance of words again. 4/7
from "Dunce" by Mary Ruefle. A copy of this poem is taped to the wall above my desk and look at it every day I make it to my desk. It reminds me that poems don't necessarily have to draw the line between point A and point B, readers can figure it out. 3/7
from "Hurrah's Nest" by @arisaw. my friend @grace_jessicaa took a workshop with her a year or two ago and gave me this collection as a gift. It has taught me so much about the ways poems can move quietly but forcefully. 2/7
submissions are currently open for the 1st issue! i can't wait for everyone to see all these amazing poems!

I’ve had this stickie on my computer desktop since a bad anxiety/depression period over a year ago and it’s still there because it makes me feel calm when I see it 🌸
