.@TaylorPearsonMe loved the reminder of your SOP process. Wondering what, if anything, has changed over the years. I suspect software like loom might be in the equation. Am I right? Any other major modifications?

When the lightning of an idea strikes you, what do you do? A) catch it in a bottle (ie take notes, dream, buy domains, grab handles) B) use the energy to jump start a dead battery and get an engine running? (Ie quickly test it, find a collaborator, find a customer) C) other

So I found another one... #BehavioralActiviation acronym that is. And it's perhaps too good to be true. Today, we're looking at therapist recommended protocol for treating depression called ACTION. The acronym is ACTION. I mean, that's great right?!
Ok, let's look at two #BehavioralActiviation acronyms that take what we've been learning and codify it a bit. TRAP & TRAC...

N: 'n do it again. Officially, "now evaluate" but I suspect evaluating the outcomes would lead to starting the loop again.

Yesterday, after reading @BStulberg's @nytimes op-ed on how to get unstuck from the quicksand of languishing created during COVID, I went down the rabbit hole on #BehavioralActivation (BA)... If BA is a new term for you, it was for me too—read on! 👇🐇⛳️ xitter.cf/BStulberg/status/14932…

Took some time to explode this topic out and sent it to my email list. Updated thesis: “Ferberize the dog, Fockerize the baby, mostly.” The take away, mental models are helpful until they’re not. Use them to get started and modify to suit your needs.
Dog Training ≠ Infant Rearing; Farberize the dog. Fockerize the baby.
I took @AndyHVandenBerg dashboard and edited it to my wife and my needs. It was a meaningful step forward from our previous finance dashboard. Thanks, Andy!
one of my favorite things is getting a chance to see other smart people's dashboards/review processes/templates. there's always a valuable lesson to learn.

I’ll co-sign on this statement and sentiment.
People say the core of productivity is having a to-do list. It's not. Productivity is: • clarifying your purpose • eliminating the unimportant • focusing on what moves you toward your goals

So there you have it. We're one week into this exploration of #BehavioralActiviation. I'm so grateful for @BStulberg's @nytimes op-ed for getting me started down this 🐇⛳️ 100% read this article if you haven't yet. Then give BA a try. xitter.cf/BStulberg/status/14932…
If you are tired of being tired, of languishing—and still stuck in a rut despite your best efforts—a concept called behavioral activation can help. It is one of the most evidence-based (yet underrated) mental health tools there is. Here's my essay on it: nytimes.com/2022/02/13/opini…
