Across the West Philippine Sea, China’s expansive maritime claims and coercive actions raise serious questions about respect for Philippine sovereignty and international law.
The issue is bigger than disputed waters. It concerns maritime rights, regional stability, and the principle that a nation’s territory and lawful entitlements cannot simply be claimed through pressure or force.
The Philippines must continue to stand firm through documented evidence, diplomacy, and the rule of international law.
Peace requires respect—not the endless pursuit of someone else’s territory.

The peso breaking past 64 against the United States dollar may have signaled that monetary policy has reached its limit. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has already pushed the benchmark interest rate to 5.50 percent, with market analysts bracing for another hike toward six percent if inflation keeps climbing. Now, it seems President Marcos is expecting the central bank to single-handedly defend the currency and stabilize the economy, which is a serious mistake.

BERNARDO: EX-SENATORS BINAY, POE, ESTRADA ALLEGEDLY RECEIVED DPWH COMMITMENT FEES
NEWS UPDATE: State witness and former DPWH Undersecretary Roberto Bernardo revealed that some former and incumbent senators allegedly received commitment fees from DPWH projects.
Those allegedly involved include:
Former Senator Nancy Binay – 12% to 15%
Former Senator Grace Poe – 20%
Senator Jinggoy Estrada – 18% to 25%
Bernardo made the revelations while testifying during the bail hearing of former House Speaker Martin Romualdez’s plunder case before the Sandiganbayan Third Division.
Bilyonaryo News Channel has sought Binay, Poe, and Estrada's reaction regarding the allegations, but they have yet to respond as of this writing.

It's not hard for China's Ambassador to Manila, Jing Quan, to apologize and put all of this behind him. That he's refusing; doubling down and attempting to assert dominance where he possesses none that's the real issue. He's a guest in the Philippines. If I behaved like he did and refused to apologize for my behavior, I'd expect to be asked to leave and not come back. Nothing wrong with eating a little humble pie when you're wrong and want to maintain a relationship. We've all done it in life when we make mistakes. An apology is the only face saving end to this...I guess we'll see if he has the balls to do that, but I doubt it
