The last ever game at Upton Park, one of the best days of my football/coaching career, against one of the biggest clubs in the world and we win 3-2, don’t get any better, then reality set in, that that was it, Upton Park was no more, best & worst night of my life in football.

@TonyGrounds I just want to say, a massive thank you. Though going through a very rough patch in my life, watching The Martins help made me realise there is better times ahead. Fan letters aren't a thing anymore; I'm not good with words anyway. So, thank you!

50 years ago today, three black players played in the same Football League game for the very first time. Those three players were Clyde Best, Ade Coker and Clive Charles.
Today, we look back at that match Upton Park in 1972 and all that it meant.

The amazing Paul Ritter, who died in April, made this lovely five-part comedy drama for Radio 4 in 2013. It's on @BBCSounds.

Afghan children are the worst victims of Taliban terror & its heart-breaking that we failed them & gave up on their future ❤️🩹💔
