I see John Lewis has quietly re-edited its Christmas ad in the hope nobody will notice.
Gone: the scenes of the feral grandkids misbehaving.
Gone: the useless, gormless looking parents.
It’s too late, guys.
We've all seen the original. Deleting is cheating. #JohnLewisChristmas

This guy sums up the John Lewis ad perfectly. 👏
John Lewis used to capture the mood of the nation at Christmas. Now all they capture is woke nonsense normal people can't relate to.

Labour’s Treasury Minister admitted she doesn’t think employers are working people.
No wonder. The entire Cabinet has less private-sector experience combined than our Shadow Chancellor.
They’re no longer the Labour Party. They’re the Welfare Party.

Labour Treasury Minister Emma Reynolds was sent out on the morning round by Downing Street to trumpet the Lower Thames Crossing - but is unable to answer even the most basic questions from @LBC’s @NickFerrariLBC:
‘Is there much point continuing this?’

How is it that Danny Tommo sits in a cell while five suspected terrorists are out on bail?
Is this two-tier Britain, or am I missing something?

A 76 year old British man has been arrested for wearing a burqa at a demonstration, and will be held in jail until October when he will appear in Court.
I thought our jails were full, otherwise why are releasing criminals back into the community.
Couldn’t be two tier policing could it ?

I honestly can't believe Alexis Boon, Chief Constable of Hampshire police, is still at work as if nothing has happened.
His police force tried to smear Henry Nowak as aggressor THREE DAYS after his murder.
They tried to cover it up and influence the trial.
We will not forget.

I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that if you fly into Britain they make you go through customs and show you passport, but if you arrive by a small boat illegally, they give you free housing.

‘Israel orders some British soldiers to leave the country’
In interview Ed Miliband said he had carefully ‘weighed up the cost’s’ of imposing sanctions on Israel but that claim is looking shaky now.
According to the Telegraph “Israel has ordered British soldiers tracking settler violence in the West Bank to leave the country just as they were about to expand their mission.
The team’s primary role is to advise and help train Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces, which provide policing and security for parts of the West Bank under the Oslo Accords”
The team were about to quadruple in size.
Not now - Netanyahu has kicked them out.
“The Brits had actually become the West’s “eyes and ears” in the occupied territory, sending back detailed reports of escalating settler violence to both London and Washington”
What that really means is Miliband has played into the hands of the Israelis.
So when Miliband claimed he “weighed up the costs,” he has essentially traded concrete, real-time intelligence leverage for a purely symbolic trade ban.
It gets worse.
Israel is also closing the British Consulate in East Jerusalem - it coordinates directly with the Palestinian Authority.
So in his haste to please Palestinians Miliband has successfully evicted his own observers, shut down his own consulate, and left the UK blind in the West Bank.
If that isn’t a textbook definition of shooting oneself in the foot - I don’t know what is.
Politicians in the West need to stop trying to police the Middle East.

Labour-run Nottingham Council wants the “safest city in the country.” So from 15 September, a balaclava in the city centre can get you a fine of up to £1,000.
But Burqas, niqabs and other religious coverings are exempt. Same hidden face. Same street. Different rule.
Don’t get me wrong ban every Face Covering. But you cannot ban one hidden face and permit the other. That is not safety. That is double standards.
Ban them all, or stop pretending this is about safety.
