In this week's newsletter: dazzling hothouse minimalism from Tonal Union’s Akusmi, guitar duets from Meg Duffy and Gregory Uhlmann, a raucous live recording of Bill Orcutt’s The Four Louies, a banging new Djrum EP, and much more. futurismrestated.substack.co…

#NoGoodMusicAnymore #AllThatJazz Akusmi | Terra Incognita Said it a lot this year, but this is in the conversation for my favourite jazz release of the year. Although to nullify it to jazz is to do a disservice - all manner of global trance music infect this record with a spiritual character befitting of Alice Coltrane. Top notch stuff for a hot day.
