3. Validation: Does the validation happen when the user leaves the field, or only after they click the "Submit" button and fail?
7
2. Labels: Do the labels sound like a human conversation, or a database column name? Or... do they even have labels?

1. Optional vs mandatory: Are we marking 10 required fields, or just the 2 optional ones? (Do the latter).

Next time you are doing a design review, pause on the forms. We often look over them to get to the "cool" features, but forms are where the work actually happens. Check these 3 basics before continuing. 🧵

Just noticed that every icon and blue piece of text in @X when creating a post fails standard colour contrast guidelines for their actions. A horrible 3:1. European Accessibility Act isn't complied to X? Any UX designers there that can fix this?

Or go to a web tool like WebAim, the old and trustworthy source! :D webaim.org/resources/contras…

Unsure about your contrast? If you are using Figma they have a contrast checker built-in natively! Just go to the color section and tick the circular icon:

Good example and reminder in this design to check your contrast! Aim for a 4.5:1 for smaller text. Large text is more flexible with a 3:1.

How planning your to-dos post-holiday feels like in UX world:

Justin Bieber now understands UI / UX fundamentals better than Apple It's been a weird year
If I hit this dictation button after sending a text and it beeps and stops my music one more time, I’m gonna find everyone at apple and put them in a rear naked choke hold Even if I turn off dictation I somehow hit the voice note thing The send button should not have multiple functions in the same spot

someone put it on a poster please.
ux = user gets it. ui = user likes it. brand = user remembers it. copy = user feels it. design = all of the above.
