The @UK_CAA has awarded a licence to @SaxaVord_Space to become the United Kingdom’s first-ever vertical spaceport 🚀
From 2024, SaxaVord will be able to launch rockets from their base on the north coast of the Shetland Islands, helping to create jobs and grow the local economy.

🚀 While other stories were rocketing up the news agenda today, I was finishing a visit to @SaxaVord_Space in Unst, seeing the work taking place at the UK’s most northernly spaceport.
🛰️ Exciting times ahead for those working on this project, and the space sector in Scotland.
Top two candidates didn’t vote in favour of equal marriage and the top candidate was not in favour of latest bill improving trans rights in Scotland. Fantastic choice from the SNP 🙃🙃 Scotland can do so much better.
