Absolutely thrilled to celebrate publication day for this new resource 🎉🥳 After being asked by both the policy community and academic colleagues FOR YEARS ‘What does good policy engagement with A&H research look like?’, here are case studies & advice which I hope will help.
New publication! 🆕 @durham_uni’s Professor @ProfArleneHH & @LaidlawFoundatn scholar Luke Sewell’s new publication provides an in-depth insight into the policy engagement process for those working in Arts and Humanities disciplines. Take a look 👉upen.ac.uk/resources/how-doe… 🧵

It's out! 'Migrant Voices in Multilingual London, 1560-1600' in Transactions of the Royal Historical Society. Read to find out how insults and information moved between the city's languages, and to think about how linguistic diversity shaped urban life. cambridge.org/core/journals/…

#frenchhistory - the imbrication of metropolitan artisans in the French slavery empire is such an important story.
These silver items dated 1775 were probably created by silversmith Jean-Baptiste Chaslon from La Rochelle. Chaslon is the same silversmith who created the silver sword whose story I tell in my book The Gift: How Objects of Prestige Shaped the Atlantic Slave Trade and Colonialism (2024) #slaveryarchive
