Strong comments from Jim Gamble damning politicians of all parties on child grooming.
It "has been used for point-scoring," he says. "The last thing survivors need is in-fighting... There's a lot of people with their own vested interests in this, and they know who they are."
Jim Gamble, who has withdrawn as the frontrunner to become chair of the grooming gang inquiry, has blamed "political opportunism and point-scoring".

He paid £8.5 million upfront costs in 2000s and can stay there for another 50 years.
@GeorgeGreenwood and I obtained Andrew's unredacted lease for the first time.
Shadow justice secretary @RobertJenrick said:
"I don't know the ins and outs of the lease, but I don't think the taxpayer in any way should be fitting the bill for him to live in luxury homes ever again."

NEW: The NCA has taken over the investigation into alleged child sexual abuse by serving officers in Rotherham.
The BBC and @thetimes reported 6 complainants had lost faith in South Yorkshire Police to investigate its own officers.
One of the women was "elated" by the news.

@NJ_Timothy has been pressing for a special NCA unit to investigate bent cops since January, but has met resistance.
As it stands, not a single public servant has been convicted for a role in the street grooming scandal.
