This press release, coupled with PAPILLON and REZLIENT3, tell me that upfront platinum chemo is an important part of the treatment strategy for #Egfr Exon 20 NSCLC. @Exon20Group @EGFRResisters @EgfrUk @EGFRSummit @OncoAlert @Lung_Cancers @YoungLungCancer
Phase III FURVENT trial of 1L firmonertinib monotherapy vs pemetrexed-based chemo does not meet primary endpoint of PFS in pts with EGFR exon 20 insertion mutant NSCLC. Press release notes OS trend and clinical benefit by RR and PFSinv. Await full data. ir.arrivent.com/news-release…

Primary tracheal SCC is rare and can cause significant morbidity. Our case report/focused review @ClinicalLung describe a durable response to #pembrolizumab. This adds to the evidence suggesting that PD-(L)1 blockade may have a role in this disease. bit.ly/4hpDMp8

Big melanoma data in @NatureMedicine 👇 A pooled analysis of 1,038 patients with resectable melanoma treated before surgery. Among the 735 who received immunotherapy, 58% had little or no viable tumor left at surgery. Those patients? ~98% alive at 5 years. And their 5-year recurrence-free survival was similar with or without additional immunotherapy after surgery (90.8% vs 90.6%). So if treatment already worked this well, do patients need more? Not randomized, so prospective trials are needed. But very encouraging.

Excited to present our work on Tarlatamab and CNS efficacy and treatment beyond CNS progression, now in press @JTOonline! 🧠 Meaningful intracranial activity (ICR ORR 39%), N=91, including active, untreated brain mets excluded from trials. ⭐️ Treatment beyond isolated CNS progression with local therapy appears efficacious and safe: patients stayed on treatment a median of 4.3 extra months (N=9). 🛡️ Concurrent CNS radiation appears safe: no grade ≥3 ICANS events 🔗 doi.org/10.1016/j.jtocrr.202… @DukeCancer @UNC_Lineberger @DHESS280 @DukeMets @ShetalAPatel @drshieldsmd @alissajcooper @GlopesMd @lungoncdoc @StephenVLiu @chulkimMD @Latinamd @JessieStuart316 @LungCancerEu @Lung_Cancers @OncoAlert

#WCLC 2026 "One slide says it all"! from our presentation on impact of KRAS G12C on patient outcomes in EMPOWER lung 01 phase 3 trial of 1st line cemiplimab vs platinum chemotherapy. Explanation: G12C is highly associated with smoking, most neoantigenic, favorable to ICI.

#WCLC26 🌟First report of a combination of a #bispecific targeting PDL1 x VEGF (pumitamig) plus a B7-H3.l ( Elfie-D) #ADC in ES-SCLC, producing excellent responses in all lines of treatment and especially 1L with tolerable toxicity profile. Requires longer follow up to evaluate long-term tolerability of ADCs and the contribution of the bispecific component. Challenging to see how this combo will fit into the TCE in 1L era

Destiny-Lung04!. Many factors can influence OS. For now, it seems more reasonable to base treatment selection on toxicity profiles. From that perspective, a TKI appears to be the more appropriate first-line approach in HER2 TKD-mutant NSCLC.
Replying to @StephenVLiu
#WCLC26 In DESTINY-Lung04, no OS signal yet. Toxicities led to discontinuation in 16% of both arms. Biggest concern here is the ILD at 20.8% - while most were grade 1/2 and resolved, these are still high rates. This will impact delivery and possibly subsequent therapies...

#WCLC26 PCI decreased the cumulative incidence of brain metastases but this did not improve PFS, it just changed the patterns of recurrence. With MRI surveillance, 18% of pts relapsed in the brain first and 31% extracranial. With PCI, 5% had CNS as initial progression and 45% had extracranial progression. But no significant difference in brain metastasis free survival. And importantly, far more treatment related adverse events with PCI including a grade 5 encephalopathy. MRI surveillance, without PCI, should be the standard going forward for pts with SCLC.

IASLC expert panel proposes an updated pulmonary carcinoid/NET classification ( Expected to be included into the forthcoming WHO thoracic blue book) 1. Keep “carcinoid” as the main diagnostic term for thoracic clinicians, while moving toward the “NET” nomenclature used in other organs 2. Add Ki-67 as a diagnostic criterion. 5% threshold is pulmonary specific 3. Formally recognize rare carcinoid/NET G3 tumors (higher proliferation, but molecularly closer to NETs than to high-grade NECs) More on jto.org/article/S1556-0864%2… Slides below from Dr. Bellizzi’s presentation: What’s New in Neuroendocrine Tumors (WHO 6th Edition, 2026) youtube.com/live/o8IqIDiN_Jw… #pathology #pathX

Dr. @MartinReck2 presents MDT-Bridge at #WCLC26: pts with resectable or borderline resectable NSCLC received 1-2 cycles of durvalumab + chemotherapy then surgery if resectable or CRT if not, followed by adjuvant/consolidation durvalumab. Of those with borderline resectable NSCLC, 62% underwent resection (97% R0). Overall resection rate 75% and 27% pCR rate.
