ITV’s investigation is sickening.
Reform councillors calling Muslims “parasites”, Black children “animals” and discussing forced deportations.
These are elected representatives, not anonymous internet trolls.
The “few bad apples” excuse simply doesn’t wash. Where is the accountability?

At a time when misinformation and disinformation are spreading across the world, the importance of trusted, independent journalism cannot be overstated.
Today, I asked the Prime Minister to reaffirm his support for the BBC World Service - Britain's voice to the world, and a vital voice for truth and facts.
I'm pleased he confirmed his strong support for both the World Service and the BBC as a whole. 👇 – at London, England

Trump wants Zelenskyy replaced while America buys Russian diesel.
Let’s be absolutely clear: Putin invaded Ukraine, not the other way around.
You don't achieve peace by punishing the victim and bankrolling the aggressor.
Ukraine's future belongs to Ukrainians. Not Trump. Not Putin.

A fantastic evening at the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, for the opening night of Switzerland!
A gripping psychological thriller, with superb performances from Catherine Russell and Jamie Sayers.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful theatre producing outstanding work right here in Bury St Edmunds.
Congratulations to everyone involved!
Running until 24 October - well worth a visit! 🎭

The Conservatives call it “cutting red tape”.
In reality, they want to scrap standards that make new homes cheaper to run – leaving families more dependent on gas and exposed to volatile global prices.
After a cost of living crisis, why on earth would we go backwards?

Great to see Suffolk Trading Standards successfully cracking down on vape shops selling illegal products in our area.
These products pose a risk to public health, and can often reflect wider criminality.
I'm glad to see action being taken to tackle this problem - this is important work.

The death of Jason Arday is deeply sad, and the circumstances surrounding it should give us all pause.
The scale of the media onslaught he faced was extraordinary. The Times and Sunday Times reportedly published around 44 articles about him, the Telegraph 43 and the Daily Mail around 38 - with many more across other national outlets.
Whatever the rights and wrongs of the original story, we have to ask whether this level of coverage was really proportionate.

A 2% wealth tax on assets above £10 million would affect only a tiny fraction of the population, while campaigners estimate it could raise around £24 billion a year for public services.

Roads are melting. Schools are fighting for funding. Social care is under pressure.
Yet Reform has found £18,500 to refurbish the Council Leader's office.
Priorities matter. Suffolk deserves better.

Another reminder that the Greens aren't an alternative government.
Their support has fallen again in this poll, while Labour continues to close the gap on Reform.

I spoke on LBC today about what the people of Clacton actually deserve from their MP.
Nigel Farage was elected to represent the people of Clacton, not use them as a prop for his next political stunt.
