10 years ago, @SinaTweet, @Martin_Paulo, @sorrisonz, @russellsim, @mage0r, @glennmoloney, @niqgeee, @DrStevenManos and I switched on the Nectar cloud. Every day, its users push the boundaries of human knowledge. ardc.edu.au/news/nectar-cele… #weareopenstack #openstack #cloud #eResearch
Special kudos to @it_is_sean , who came in and saved us at the last minute with his superior sysadmin skills, despite never having touched OpenStack before. Also, Mark Munro. What that man managed to wrangle out of the network-policy confluence is a miracle in its own right.

Taiwan's Digital Minister, @audreyt , is as amazing in person as on TV :) Within a minute of being passed a github link, she had submitted a bug fix to our project. The moment was captured on video (5:39) youtube.com/watch?v=oUUxVe8b… #achievementunlocked #radicaltransparency #Taiwan
Hi, @KP_Taipei , did you know that after December 1st, foreign residents of Taipei are no longer able to register for YouBike? According to Youbike support, the DoT made a conscious decision to restrict access. #Taipei
Soo, #OpenStack, see you in Shanghai? h/t @sparkycollier for the prompt. Call in the beverages you know are owed to you!
On TV yesterday promoting a new visa for #Taiwan. I think it's a phenomenally innovative program - meet the reqs, apply online, don't need sponsorship, just move here and start working. Here's the video: youtube.com/watch?v=dGy5VZY8… Thanks @CNAVideo, @NdcTaiwan

Fascinating, the Flight Director audio loop recording from Apollo 13 is on YouTube. If you watched the film but wanted more engineering details, check it out. youtube.com/watch?v=KWfnY9cR…

Imagine a thriving techie nation where you control your personal information, where records (medical, financial, traffic) are on one platform, where founders and engineers flee industry for government. In the "World Changers" @NewYorker, I go to Estonia. newyorker.com/magazine/2017/…
