Lovely to have been able to speak to the Church Music Society about my research on Kenneth Leighton at their AGM today
My last Sunday after 2 happy years at @ChristChurchESh. Grateful for being able to lead the music in a supportive and appreciative place working with @SheenJesusSheen. There’s a lovely job here going for someone who will take it into the next chapter!
Great to have been able to contribute to the latest @RSCMCentre Church Music Quarterly on #Stanford’s music in his centenary year. Wonderful to see all the awards for @newportcath @ChoirNewport and @EmmaGibbins2 too!
I’m so sad to be leaving my lovely supportive church in East Sheen! Please share with anyone who might be interested

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Coxhead as our new Director of Music. Tom is currently in South West London and previously held posts as Assistant Organist at Ripon and Brecon Cathedrals.
Tom will start in September, at the start of the new choir year.
Scrolling past this I thought for the briefest of seconds this was @JeremyClarkson (it’s the jacket and jeans)… not sure if Clarkson really is planning to explore a career as a concert pianist but who knows.

At the Sistine Chapel in the 17th century, the oldest singer got too choose the starting pitch and I would like to revive this chaotic tradition.

Looking forward to joining Penshurst Choral Society and @JoeTobin on Saturday in the lovely #Penshurst Parish Church. A real treat to conduct mine and @LizzieCoxhead’s My eyes for beauty pine for the first time since its first performance!

For me, I don't think that there's a doorway as beckoning as that at St. John the Baptist in Inglesham, Wiltshire. Walking through the door is like travelling back in time. – at North West, England
Just the normal church DoM duties… disassembling and reassembling furniture. Might be off for a pint now… @MusicCCES @ChristChurchESh

In Munich, I've just acquired a concert ticket. On the ticket it says that included in the price is free public transport to and from the concert for a period of time 3 hours before the concert and 3 hours afterwards. What a brilliant initiative!
What a phenomenal week with the @RoyalAcadMusic chamber choir, singing, playing for vespers, and conducting for two masses at Neresheim Abbey. An awesome building, and a lovely group of people too - and with Paddy Russill’s wisdom and superb direction. An utter privilege.
