#DiggerMovie left me exhilarated, angry, baffled, captivated, frustrated and utterly in disbelief. So in short, I think loved it. What Iñárritu and Cruise have crafted here is one of the most unique film experiences I’ve had in quite some time, unlike anything I’ve seen this year. Cruise swallows the screen whole, delivering his best performance of the decade by a landslide, wielding his charm, gravitas and magnetism like razor sharp blades that cut deep. Ahmed and Goodman are the film’s stellar aces in the hole while Iñárritu’s propulsive direction coupled with Lubezki’s sumptuous and enveloping cinematography cement them as a true dream team. Parts absurdist comedy and soberingly relevant environmental drama, this is a fiery, thunderous wake up call as much as it is entertaining satire. This is a BIG, BOLD freaking swing that doesn’t always connect, but hot damn I’m glad this movie exists. #Digger
