- Academic gatekeepers are often the last people to acknowledge information that challenges their bias -
And this is a reminder that having a PhD also does not mean you are always correct or not an idiot. (Btw, I am not arguing in support of racism)
According to @barrystrauss Herod the Great was a 'commoner'. Really Barry? Did you critically investigate Antiquities of the Jews beyond a face value read?
He wasn't merely Idumean, he had royal Hasmonean blood too:
Raise money so liar @TimONeill007 can have liar @BartEhrman on History for Atheists to talk about Jesus Mythicism. I’m sure it will be polite and non insulting in nature. BTW Bart has said only non experts question Jesus’ historicity. That’s a lie:

According to @TimONeill007 you are a "troll" if you accuse him of making mistakes and being too arrogant to admit them. No Tim, it's called facts:

Tim is also wrong about Nazreth:

Brilliant. Tim mocking someone for having no relevant expertise when he himself has no relevant expertise….

Very funny. Because @JamesSager couldn’t convince me of “God” with theology, he then resorts to insulting @OpenUniversity and thereby insulting every professor and student that has attended and taught there.
“Jesus turned water into wine” did he John? Can you prove that? Of course you can’t. All you have is special condescending pleading. Tsk tsk.
Our final episode for 2024 offers a perfect pairing: wine and the Bible. Some Christians have opposed alcohol. Others pioneered its production. Jesus turned water "into wine." @undeceptions wherever you get your pods, or head to undeceptions.com/podcast/int…
It’s amazing that adults who are considered intelligent still believe in the Bible none sense. Classicists know the NT is invented creative literature of the elite. But of course Tom isn’t a Classicist.
An absolutely mad medieval carol service at @StBartholomews - queues round Smithfield to listen to readings from the Wycliffe Bible and sing hymns in Latin & Middle English.
Win back congregations the 14th century way…
There is NO evidence for an historical Jesus. None. Here’s a book her and other NT scholars have ignored.

Thanks to @TIME for featuring my work and book Gods Ghostwriters in their 2024 special issue on Jesus @news_ub @PTRBirmingham @littlebrown
“the earliest Christian movement that somehow - no one really knows how! - swept through the Mediterranean”
Utter garbage. Evidence has been presented concerning how Christianity began. You, like other NT “scholars” ignore it because it goes against your faith.
Dear all, wanna join me in Greece and Rome in March 2025 for an exploration of 'Early Christianity'? This is not a 'pilgrimage'. It's an educational tour that brings you face to face with the key places, texts, and artefacts of (1) the Roman Republic and its evolution into an Empire, (2) the Judaisms that influenced our world out of all proportion to their numerical size, (3) the philosophers of Greece who asked (and tried to answer) the questions humanity still wrestles with, and (4) the earliest Christian movement that somehow - no one really knows how! - swept through the Mediterranean with an answer to the Greeks, a counter to imperial power, and the realisation of Judaism's hopes for the world. All in 10 days! :) It's like a two-week @undeceptions episode, in situ!
Bookings close at the end of the month. I look forward to seeing you. Details here: selah.au/trip/christianity-j…
“Heaven” forbid that any film about Christianity be fictional…
If a film about the story within the NT was made solely based on facts, aside from bits of archaeology, it would be about 10 secs long “the NT was written…the end”
Where is all this weird stuff coming from?
In a concerning turn, it seems that the major source for the Netlflix movie "Mary" is not the Bible but a fictional book, condemned many times throughout history and widely known to be false, called "The Protoevangelium of James."
Many story beats, scenes, and events are taken or adapted from this false book.
It’s funny when you annoy a sheep monarchist so much they try to insult you using the grammar book of Yoda. “Bitter much are you” What?! 😂
Proof you can have PhD and still be an idiot.
How new atheism led historian @ProfStonebraker to Christian faith.
Sarah was enjoying a successful academic career at Cambridge and Oxford. Surprisingly, it was a lecture by atheist ethicist @PeterSinger that first jolted her out of non-belief.
Watch her tell me the story in full at the video link in the comments 👇
Tom Bullock retweeted
'This is one of the grimmest things I've ever read about my country.'
'They are taking the mickey!'
@mrjamesob reacts to the Royal Family's 'obviously egregious and completely indefensible' receipt of millions in rent income from the NHS, schools, and the armed forces.
Another NT “scholar” who undoubtedly thinks there is evidence for Jesus’ existence. There isn’t. Even the current archaeological evidence in “Nazareth” does not show that area to be a city/village/town in the early first century. Oh dear.

What a shame, @LeeStrobel blocked me because he doesn’t like evidence against his narrative. Shock 😲
I told him if you want to be like Jeebus then you have to be fictional.
The monarchy have had many many many opportunities to help the people of the nation. Unfortunately, for 100’s of years the monarchy has chosen not to. Only now when people are realising they are frauds are they pretending to care through PR campaigns.
After jibes over his three homes and hereditary estate, Prince William says criticism drives him forward to try to end homelessness. He also describes how he is introducing his three children to the problem. My story for The Observer.
