I live in Ocala now, but I lived in Gainesville over 35 years ago.
The two cities are polar opposites when it comes to politics.
Ocala is a deep RED Conservative stronghold.
Gainesville is an unhinged liberal safe haven.

Florida has no state income tax, a $117.6 BILLION budget, about $18 billion in reserves, and AAA credit ratings from every major agency, per the governor's office. Its m*rder rate is 3.9 per 100,000, compared with California's 4.5 and Illinois' 5.8. Its vioIent crime rate is 267 per 100,000, versus California's 486 and New York's 380.
Florida went for Trump by 13.1 POINTS in 2024, after Trump won it by about 3 in 2020. Republicans now have 1.5 MILLION more active registered voters than Democrats, and Miami-Dade, which hadn't gone red since 1988, flipped.
Also, nothing says "No Kings" like supporting Bernie Sanders, who's been in politics for 45 YEARS.

Karoline Leavitt fired back at Reverend Al Sharpton after he called her a "white nationalist" and a "fake Christian."
"My family came here specifically to worship freely, and then we fought bravely for the Union to end slavery," said Leavitt, "Yours came from Trinidad about 20 years later."
Leavitt went on to remind Sharpton that there are two union forts named for her family and a 150-year-old battleship called the USS Leavitt moored in Boston.

What did President Trump call her? Ah yes…Marjorie Traitor Greene. A woman who couldn’t finish her term out in congress and waited until those benefits kicked in for life, before she took her leave. She let her constituents down and then she turned on Americans. Americans who voted for President Trump.
If I recall she couldn’t get his endorsement for senate so she turned influencer and ran with the helmet club.
