Every town they swore would not fall, fell. That is the simplest way to describe what reading Half of a Yellow Sun felt like. A dazzling, devastating book about war, love and survival. open.substack.com/pub/tolupe… #AfterTheLastPage #TolupetuReads

A book about a woman who believed she wasn't worthy of being chosen. And the long journey it took to realise she was. PS: Legachi's reactions to Mezie's life in london reminded me of Zara and Eziakwu In a Good Name. open.substack.com/pub/tolupe… #AfterTheLastPage #TolupetuReads

There are some plots or scenes I see in movies that make me cringe on the actor's behalf, especially in Nigerian YouTube movies. The second hand embarrassment is so strong, I physically have to look away from the screen. 😂💀

One of my greatest biases as a reader is that I rarely ever think a book is bad. The only things that annoys me are bad writing and terrible plots. Maybe I just haven't read a truly bad book yet, but honestly, that seems far fetched. 😂

I just realised that I am in my movie watching era. 😂 I've been reading the same book for a week, and it's just interesting to realise that I don't have the mental bandwidth for books right now, although I miss them.
