Did some digging. The random helper was Madison Sheehan, a 2019 Ohio State University graduate who worked as Noem's political director when she was South Dakota governor. Sheehan was roughly 23-25 years old at the time.
Last year, at the approximate age of 28 (give or take a year) and with no immigration law experience, Sheehan was tapped by Kristi Noem to oversee ICE's $9 billion budget.
The contracts scandal at DHS is extremely bad, possibly criminal. NBC reporting that Noem made her random helper from South Dakota the *deputy director of ICE* (bad in itself), who then ordered a SECOND contract to be given to the exact same firms that the $200M were steered to.

I believe the Federal Government deleted evidence that would have exonerated Tina Peters from the worst of her charges.
And they did so by deleting evidence AND turning a "co-conspirator" (it wasn't a crime) to State's witness.
They gave him immunity to testify never thinking that the TRUTH about his testimony would be revealed.
Fortunately, it was.
