Osprey this afternoon

Pied-billed Grebes. One with babies. One with dinner 🐟

Not a Blood Moon. Two days early for the Strawberry Moon (which normally isn’t this color) Wildfires and smoke in the atmosphere made this red-orange moon this evening

Green Darner dragonflies post mating. He doesn’t let go of her neck until she’s done laying the eggs. He doesn’t want anyone else fertilizing her eggs

Bullock’s Oriole Male and female visiting their nest to feed the young ones

This male Painted Bunting is a local celebrity For 5 years now he’s flown a few hundred miles out of his native range to spend his summers in a local park posing for photos

The baby Red-shouldered Hawks have all fledged and started hunting. All 4 are doing well.

Didn’t see the first flight, but I found the eaglet’s first landing spot. Way closer than I’ve ever been to an Eagle before.
