We recently heard from the mother of a pregnant 14 year old. After booking flights, the family was only able to put €20 towards the cost of the abortion (£1330), required Covid tests (€180), and accommodation (£75). ASN funded the rest.

Hi folks, our fundraiser is still active. We have raised just €723 of our €2500 to help someone denied support in Ireland to access abortion care in the UK. #RepealThe8th did not achieve #FreeSafeLegalLocal services for everyone. All funds go directly to @AbortionSupport.

Delay is always a human rights issue. Some delays are laid out in the legislation - the three-day waiting period - other delays are policy decisions. The legislation is being interpreted conservatively because abortion is still criminalised outside of the Act. #BreakingBarriers

We’re relieved that we can watch #the8th and no that we won, however our work is not done. We still don’t have safe access zones, abortion services have still not been fully rolled out in the north, and Irish pregnant people still have to travel even in the middle of a pandemic
