Couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw Ben White and Timber fit at the same time.
It felt unreal.

I actually sent a proposal to @LagosLifeApp and @Shalom_HeyEliy last week with this exact idea in mind. I've also pitched it to @DanfoRun.
It's not enough for brands to simply place ads inside games. What if we reimagined advertising altogether?
What if brands became part of the experience? In-game collectibles that unlock real-life rewards, brand quests, tokens for purchases, exclusive offers, and campaigns that give players a reason to engage beyond seeing an ad.
For my butter brand, imagine a TSL Butter Hunt, Players find hidden butter jars in the game, with rare finds unlocking in-game rewards. Complete the hunt and unlock 10% off a real-life order from The Sunday Larder.
Now imagine what this could look like for other brands, too. The product itself becomes part of the game, and the game becomes a way for people to discover and engage with brands beyond traditional advertising.
The games get engagement, brands get potential customers, and players get rewarded. Everybody has a reason to participate.
Advertising shouldn't just interrupt the experience. It should become part of the game.
I'm open to more discussions, I do have more ideas
Woke up at 5am with a random thought: if I owned Lagos Life @LagosLifeApp , how would I keep customers coming back?
My answer? @Shalom_HeyEliy Go the Pokémon Go route.
Hide digital gems at spots across Lagos. Lekki, Yaba, Ikeja, the Island, the Mainland.
Users open the app, explore the city, find the gems and win prizes. Some gems are easy to find. Some are rare and worth much more.
Drop a few new ones every week so people always have a reason to check back.
Now think about what that does.
Users keep opening the app because there's always something new to hunt. Partner restaurants, malls and lounges host gems and get real foot traffic. Brands sponsor rare drops for visibility. People share their finds online and pull their friends in. The app stops being something you use once and becomes something you play.
Retention isn't just about discounts and push notifications. Give people a reason to come back that feels fun, not forced.
Turn the virtual city into the real life game. 🎮📍

This Havertz contract extension only makes sense if he’s willing to take a 50% pay cut. But if the plan is to go from earning £270K to £300K+ a week for winning duels and providing link-up play, then absolutely not
🚨 Excl. - #Arsenal are ready to open talks to discuss Kai #Havertz’s contract extension. #transfers #AFC
A @tryneegma <> Lagos life collab would bang @Shalom_HeyEliy ✨

I'm on this table too.
We got free text books, there was an agency that used to come for random inspections.
As a student you must not be seen on the road during school hours. Even after school hours, you can't be roaming in school uniform.
Fashola was a solid Governor, if he ever contests for Presidency, I'm standing with him.

Pack your bags, Chowdeck is moving into @LagosLifeApp 🧳
Soon, you'll be able to pull up at Chowdeck HQ, and leave with vouchers, or even get hired (in the game, and maybe in real life 👀).
You'll also be able to order from your fave spots and have a rider deliver to you, earn Chowscore in the game, and a lot more!
Lagos Life is about to get a lot sweeter. See you inside😌
In other news, we launched the popular game, Concentration on @tryneegma last month 🎉
Play it online with up to 30 people. A nice way to spice up your games night or team social

OSASBABY FOR CBN GOVERNOR 🏦🇳🇬
I’m running for CBN Governor on the Lagos Life Game, and I have questions.
Who is printing this money?
Why is everybody suddenly a billionaire?
And why are people still scamming?
Here’s my manifesto 🧵👇🏾

The day I posted this tweet, I was racking my brain for what to create. Nothing came to mind, the problem was I kept thinking of something new.
With Eureka’s Danfo, Shalom’s Lagos, and other products focused Nigerians have launched on limited budgets through pure determination, I now have fresh inspiration and a clear sense of direction.
Their success and reception have given me the will to keep going. I draw from their grace and hope for the patience to keep building, and the fearlessness to launch even when I don’t feel fully ready.
You inspire me @eureka_seamless @Shalom_HeyEliy. God bless you.

Over 1 million players in 3 days!
I asked @Shalom_HeyEliy how it happened for Lagos Life, what broke, and if she’s selling for $100,000.
How Lagos Life Beat ChatGPT to 1 Million Users (in 3 Days)
Lagos Life went from 0 to 1 million users in just 3 days. I sat down with Shalom, the creator behind the game, to talk about how it was built, the traffic, the outages, the business, and what's next.
