Some people complain that pedestrians don't walk on footpaths in Mumbai even where footpaths present.
I request them to please visit Hiranandani - Powai.
98% of people walk on footpaths here.
Reason?
• Footpaths are wide ✅
• No encroachment ✅
• No illegal parking ✅
• Uniform height ✅
Mere presence of footpaths will not help pedestrians.
Pedestrians will automatically start using footpaths when all the parameters mentioned above are checked ✅
Until then it's unfair to blame pedestrians.
And if BMC can find space for 2-3 lane roads, why can't they find space for footpaths?
Maybe we citizens never asked enough for it.

Its our urgent and sincere request to #MumbaiTrafficPolice to shut the illogical and traffic snaring opening in the Metro median at corner of Times Square on Andheri Kurla Road. Traffic at both ends are suffering due to it. @MumbaiPolice @mybmc @mybmcWardKE @RoadsOfMumbai
