A 28 yeaer old #CaryGrant in a still from, I believe, "Blonde Venus", 1932.๐ฝ๏ธ๐ธ
The day that #CaryGrant met #Elvis after one of his Vegas shows at the International Hotel, August 10, 1970. Cary was a big Elvis fan, and was moved to tears by his show and music. You can see it in this photo, the way he looks at Elvis sure does convey that!

He did that in a few movies, mentioning Archie Leach in some way or other.
Before he was #CaryGrant... #ArchieLeach, 1930.๐ธ
When #CaryGrant became a father with the birth of his daughter, Jennifer, in 1966, he remarked that she was his greatest production...๐ค

Lloyd gets a bit of press, but not as much as Chaplain and Keaton, I agree. Yes, even Fairbanks' swashbuckling flicks don't get big hits these days, either. Yes, these days an "old film" is the 1990s for a lot of people, let alone the B&W's.

And to think how both she and Douglas Fairbanks were THE it couple, parties at Pickfair, etc, etc.... There fame was second to none back in the day - now? Only classic film buffs and/or silent film buffs know much of them! So true!
Before he was #CaryGrant, a teenage #ArchieLeach (far right, kneeling) with the Pender Troupe of traveling acrobats, early #1920s. Tall and lanky with some big feet! (Black & white photo in the comments)
#CaryGrant on his wedding day to #VirginiaCherrill , February 9, 1934, Caxton Hall, London (public registry office).
Before Saturday closes out, a little "Hot Saturday" to remember it by, 1932. ๐ฝ๏ธ ๐ฅ #CaryGrant #NancyCarroll #classicmovies

Cute pooch! Anything known about him/her? I've always loved Charlie Chaplain's "A Dog's Life" (1918). They found Mutt at the LA pound, & he became the studio dog & Charlie's best buddy. Sadly, he died of a broken heart, as he couldn't go with Charlie when touring for war bonds.
It's that time of year again! ๐#CaryGrant in "Arsenic and Old Lace", 1944.๐ฝ๏ธ๐ทโ ๏ธ #SpookySeason #Halloween
