A 'human rights barrister' calling for more pogroms against Jewish people. These people are insufferable and have absolutely no place in the West.
Time really for all Jewish people to face Israel’s accountability for genocide in Gaza.

Sarah Helm, the wife of Britain's national security adviser, Jonathan Powell, took flak last week after appearing to support Palestine Action, the banned terror group, on Twitter. The police looked, but took no further action. The Spectator can reveal that there is vastly more material, far more controversial than this, in Helm's tweets. Helm has defended Hamas, questioned reports of mass rape by the terror group, blamed the 7 October attacks on the creation of Israel in 1948, compared Israel to the Nazis, and appeared to praise Syria's then dictator Bashar al-Assad for remarks in which he had called the Jewish state an 'outlaw colonial entity' populated by 'herds of settlers that are closer to barbarism than to humanity.' She has also called for western military intervention against Israel and attacked her husband's own government for its 'complicity' and 'appeasement' towards Tel Aviv. Here are some of the highlights. ✍️ Andrew Gilligan Article | spectator.com/article/reveal… | @mragilligan

It seems...sub-optimal that the wife of the UK's National Security Advisor should just be openly and continuously sharing this sort of stuff.
Jonathan Powell's wife shared a post this weekend that is dismissive of @andyburnham's government - referring to it as 'the zionist labour government' and accusing them of 'colluding with Israeli war criminal intelligence services'

In 2024, Sarah Helm, the wife of Jonathan Powell, ie, Burnham's National Security Adviser, praised Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad after he made dehumanising comments about Israelis. Since his wife's antisemitic extremism was exposed, the silence from Powell has been deafening.

Sarah Helm, wife of the UK national security adviser Jonathan Powell, has far worse social media than was reported at the weekend. She's compared Israel to the Nazis; defended Hamas; and questioned reports of their mass rape. Me for the Spectator. spectator.com/article/reveal…

Yes it's a real problem having a Jew expressing a mainstream Jewish opinion about which she kept entirely silent during her BBC career. Or let me rephrase that. It's a real problem if you have a problem with Jews.

The BBC has had this on a loop for days saying it was “Israeli settlers” attacking Palestinians Palestinians just shot themselves in the foot publishing footage in celebration of their attack on Israelis. It’s the same event. The same “journalists” involved that said they were attacked by Israelis. Will the Washington Post, BBC and all the other lying News Agencies retract their statement? Don’t count on it
The world deserves FACTS, not double standards. On October 7, Hamas terrorists deliberately invaded Israel, murdered innocent people and took hostages. That was terrorism. The West Bank is a separate issue, and neither should be used to excuse violence or spread collective blame against Jews. But here is the principle the BBC and every mainstream media outlet must follow: show the evidence, investigate every claim, and correct the record when the facts change. A video circulating on X is being presented as contradicting the narrative surrounding the olive harvest. It deserves proper examination, not blind acceptance or dismissal. At the same time, reports of Israeli settlers attacking Palestinians, journalists and European diplomats are serious. Anyone responsible for violence must face justice. Defending Israel does not mean excusing criminals. My question to the media is simple: where is the same rigorous scrutiny, the same context and the same willingness to challenge every side? Israelis are not collectively guilty for the actions of individuals. Palestinians are not collectively guilty for Hamas. But neither should victims be ignored because their suffering challenges someone’s political narrative. Journalism must follow the evidence, not ideology. No selective outrage. No double standards. No collective blame. Watch the video and judge the evidence for yourself:

Tell me, @SarahHelm1 Why is there "Nowhere to go"? Is it: A) Because Hamas built military installations among honestly an civic infrastructure.. Or B) Because Egypt built a bigger, taller fence on its border than Israel. Or C) Both?
Thank goodness for Francesca Albanese. As she says In Gaza there is (and was the previous times they bombed it) “nowhere to go”. It’s got walls and electrified fences all around. Israel bombed refugees inside a prison. Geddit?!

Why would any journalist with integrity bring 200 armed instigators to start a fight with random Jews just so you can film their response and lie that it was “settler violence against peaceful olive harvesting”? These people live off conflict, they create it
He saved our lives from the settler-terrorists who attacked the olive harvesters and journalists. He and many other Palestinians who bravely risked their lives, defending their land.

Oh dear, now Polanski is claiming Palestinians are being killed "in the name of Judaism". If that isn't conflating the actions of an Israeli state with being Jewish I don't know what is. This is antisemitism under cover of pro-Palestinian campaigning. Polanski's actual words below. #LauraK

The Green Party’s absurd, antisemitic ‘Zionism is racism’ motion was NOT only criticised by Jewish groups & some Greens, dear @BBCNews. That’s a shocking and disingenuous framing. Condemnation came from huge swathes of society, incl the PM. Summarising complex stories for TV News is hard - I did it for years - but this makes it sound like only whining Jews kicked up a fuss. Please do better.

If you watch this video you see the Washington Post journalists and a know violence provocateur. 200 Palestinians attacked the settlement with slingshots and fireworks. The WP journalists was there from the beginning with the Palestinians. It's organized and coordinated. Stop believing otherwise.
Hamas affiliated media just destroyed the fake narrative @the_andrey_x and @infinite_jaz spread They took pride that the incident started when 200 Palestinians committed an organized attack with slingshots and fireworks against an Israeli post under the cover of "olive harvesting" with the protection of foreign journalists They were later repelled by 40 Israelis.

There is an argument to be made that Polanski is a liar - that he deliberately distorts both history and contemporary facts to weasel his way out of criticism that he and the Greens are pushing an antisemitic agenda. There is also an argument to be made that he is basically an idiot who is blundering around on this and other issues without a clue. They are not mutually exclusive. For myself, I think he is both an idiot and a liar.
Laura Kuenssberg, "What do you believe about zionism? Is it inherently racist?" Zack Polanski, "What's controversial is that 75,000 Palestinians have been murdered in the last few years, including more child amputees in modern history" "When you take into account that they are being murdered because they're Palestinian, that's very obviously a racist ideology" Laura Kuenssberg, "You don't think it's controversial to say zionism is racist?" Zack Polanski, "The controversial thing is that western governments have turned away while Palestinians have been murdered because they're Palestinian, that's clearly racist" Laura Kuenssberg, "Every will have heard I asked you a question about your belief about zionism and you immediately started talking about something else, which many people have watched around the world and been horrified by" "Is it your view that zionism itself is inherently racist?" Zack Polanski, "The reason I'm answering that question (this way) is that rather than have a debate about semantics, its about the practical application of zionism" Laura Kuenssberg, "Your party had a conversation about the semantics. Which is why it's important to understand your belief. This is exactly about semantics" Zack Polanski, "You said I was missing from a debate, but before that debate I went on TV several times, including the FT, saying I think zionism is racism in the practical application of it" "The conference had a debate about the word, and I said debates about the word are unhelpful, and I still think that" "If we're talking about what's happening in Palestine right now, people are still dying every day, and my party is unified in saying that this government is still arming that genocide, we're still selling arms licenses, we're still sharing intelligence, and we've not boycotted, divested and sanctions, that's what we need to do" Laura Kuenssberg, "Do you accept that for many Jewish people zionism is simply the right to have safe place to live, a homeland?" Zack Polanski, "I think that's what people think it means, but in practical application, which is what we're talking about here, that homeland has come at a cost of the Palestinian people" "I want equal rights for Israelis and Palestinians" "The practical application of zionism has not resulted in that" Laura Kuenssberg, "Is it for the Green Party to tell Jewish people what zionism means?" Zack Polanski, "It's for me as the leader to tell teh truth, and in in 1948 there was the Nakba, 750,000 Palestinians were ethnically cleansed. That's racist" Laura Kuenssberg, "I'm asking you about right now" "Is it the Green Party's job to tell British Jews, Jews around the world, Jews in Israel, what zionism means?" Zack Polanski, "My job is to do two things. One to reassure Jewish communities that under my leadership one will be excluded in the Green Party based on their faith or their background" "Jewish people, including myself very obviously, are very welcome" "Second, it is my job to tell the truth, and this story of a Jewish homeland has come at the expense of Palestinians" "There are many Jewish communities around this country and around the world including leftwing Jews like myself, who feel great shame that in the name of Judaism we are seeing Palestinians murdered" "We need to stop conflating being Jewish and criticising Israeli state, they are two separate things" My view: This exchange matters because the argument over Zionism is not just a dispute about a word. It reaches into people’s deepest fears: Jewish people’s long-standing need for safety and a secure home, and Palestinians’ right to live freely, safely and with equal rights in their own homeland. Those concerns must not be treated as mutually exclusive. Polanski’s answer focused on what he called the practical consequences for Palestinians: mass death, displacement and the loss of homes and land. The scale of the killing is immense. A population survey published in The Lancet Global Health estimated that more than 75,000 Palestinians died violent deaths in Gaza during the first 15 months of the war. The UN has also described Gaza as having the highest number of child amputees per capita worldwide. But a serious conversation must also recognise why many Jewish people understand Zionism as the right to a safe homeland: centuries of persecution, antisemitism and the Holocaust are part of that history. Asking whether Zionism is “inherently racist” is a question about a broad and contested political idea, and Jewish people do not all define it in the same way. A Jewish person’s attachment to Israel, or belief that Jews should be safe there, does not by itself make them racist. And criticism of Israeli government policy is not automatically antisemitic. The test should be what happens to people in practice. A homeland cannot mean permanent domination over another people, the denial of their rights, or the displacement and destruction of their communities. Palestinian freedom cannot mean attacks on Israeli civilians or denying Jewish people a safe future. Hamas’s killing and kidnapping of Israeli civilians must be condemned; so must the killing of Palestinian civilians and the conditions that leave them without safety, homes, medical care or a credible political future. Peace requires both peoples to be secure and politically free. That means protecting Israeli civilians from attacks and hostage-taking, and ending the occupation, displacement and unequal treatment that deny Palestinians a viable future. It means equal rights, accountability for abuses, humanitarian access and a political settlement that neither people has to accept as a threat to their existence. If leaders cannot say plainly that both Israelis and Palestinians deserve safety and self-determination, they are not offering a path to peace. They are asking one people to live with the fear of the other.

Local officials confirm that @washingtonpost media spectacle was initiated and staged by provocateurs and antizionist terrorists.
Israel Ganz, Head of the Binyamin Regional Council and Chairman of the Yesha Council: “Over the past two days, groups of provocateurs and terrorists have been creating chaos under the pretext of the olive harvest. They arrive at flashpoints to inflame tensions and provoke confrontations. In many cases, they are the ones attacking, running riot and harming Israelis. They must not be allowed to continue operating unchecked. At the same time, Israelis who resort to violence play into their hands and harm people, the settlement movement and the country. I demand that the police take responsibility and restore order. A police force capable of tackling organized crime must arrest stone throwers and organizers of disturbances at events known about in advance - Israelis, Arabs and foreign nationals alike - instead of settling for condemnation and announcing that an investigation has been opened after the event is over.” JSR Situation Room
