Starting the process to winterize the garden. I missed the timeframe for starting seeds for a fall garden this year.
Overwintering is something we tried last year and will forever do it from now on. Most of the pepper plants dug up and in the greenhouse for winter. Everything else will be chop & drop, leaving the roots and chopping at the soil level and throwing the rest of it right on top of the soil. We will cover with some straw another day.
We are even gonna try a tomato plant in the sun room with the basil & chives.

This. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Caleb Hammer completely unloads on a Louisiana couple after learning their $100,000 household is collecting $500 a month in FOOD STAMPS.
That’s $6,000/year in TAX-FREE income.
HAMMER: “That PISSES me off.”
That $6,000 cushion is exactly what lets them blow $3,600 a year eating out.
Taxpayers cover the groceries so they can hit the restaurants.
Hammer was so disgusted he stopped talking to them and started ranting under his breath, while the couple sat frozen in stunned silence.
Maybe everyone gaming the system should have to sit across from a taxpayer and explain themselves.
Something tells me the look on Hammer’s face will haunt them the next time they eat out.

Morning everyone. Coffee time. Repost the space. It doesn’t end till 9:30am. Spread the word of faith!!
Meet my friends, if you haven't yet. Join us all on this ~ish journey! 💕
The “ish” in Healthy-ish might actually be the most important part.
Because healthy isn’t perfect.
The “ish” is the learning.
It’s questioning.
It’s paying attention.
It’s making better choices when we can.
It’s growing some of our food while still buying plenty of it.
It’s cooking from scratch most often, but not feeling guilty when we don’t.
It’s moving our bodies because they deserve to move, and resting them because they deserve that too.
It’s caring about what we eat without making food a source of guilt or shame.
It’s changing one thing at a time instead of trying to overhaul our entire lives overnight.
It’s understanding that what works for one person might not work for another.
It’s getting something wrong, learning something new and changing our minds.
It’s mindset.
Gratitude.
Curiosity.
Balance.
Accountability.
And slow, sustainable change.
It’s knowing there will always be another thing to learn, another skill to build, another habit we could improve.
And being completely okay with that.
We don’t want Healthy-ish to make anyone feel like they aren’t doing enough.
We want it to remind people how much they can do.
Grow one tomato.
Cook one more meal at home.
Learn where your food comes from.
Read one label.
Plant something for the pollinators.
Spend more time outside.
Ask more questions.
Change one habit.
Then maybe change another.
There is no finish line where you finally become “healthy.”
We’re just trying to live a little better, understand a little more, and take better care of ourselves and the little piece of the world around us.
That’s the “ish.”
And honestly, we just think there’s a whole lot of freedom in it. 💛

The Pharisees had an opinion on every step Jesus took. Don't be surprised when divisive voices show up in your life today. Scripture calls us to guard our hearts and step away from discord. Walk in discernment and keep moving forward.
