If Americans view, clip, share, and permanently enshrine an American public killing in a million ways on the internet, we will move towards fascist rituals of violence.

We see a lot of “eek! falling behind!” posts during the Challenge, and you know we love a good goal (💪🏾🤓), but today we’re celebrating the real goal of The Sealey Challenge, which is to #readmorepoetry—and remembering the words of Mary Oliver:
Dormont, a small suburb bordering Pittsburgh, has planned for increased density near transit for over 5 years, and now is considering a 180-unit housing project, but a new NIMBY group is spreading lies using AI. No amount of prep can head off NIMBYism publicsource.org/dormont-hou…

AOC: I also find the freakout around it pretty funny as well. I’m not gonna lie. A commentator that was like, “What she’s doing is peddling the dangerous lie that women can have it all.” Can you believe that?
What I find funny is that my choice is a threat to them. Despite the rhetoric they use and the bald eagles that they plaster all over the place, they actually really do not believe in a free country.
You do not need anyone’s approval to lead your life and make the choices that make you happy.
They talk about being pro-family, but all of a sudden when a 36-year-old talks about having a baby, they’re mad. How many male members of Congress are they freaking out about having kids after 40? The president had his last kid at 59. Life happens.
And people say you’re peddling this dangerous lie that women can have it all. You know, maybe in life you can’t have everything, but here’s the secret: You can have a hell of a lot.
And I am very grateful for my life. I go after what I want, but maybe that’s what they don’t like either. Too bad for them.
Such a wonderful collection of songs…

The New Granada is shining over Centre Avenue again!
Tonight, the community gathered to light the marquee on the iconic Pittsburgh theater for the first time in decades. Once the heart of the Hill District’s jazz & arts culture, the building is currently undergoing its renewal.

El-Sayed on Trump posting an image of him and his wife in a restaurant with the caption "two VERY DIFFERENT Americas": "He's right. One in which your overlords are two people who don't like each other but joined in the interest in making billions of dollars off of you, or two people who genuinely love each other enjoying some pancakes together ... Abdul is a Rhodes scholar, public health administrator and expert, and brilliant politician. What, other than his identity and opposition to a blank check for Israel (shared by most voters), are you worried about?

It’s frustrating that Americans vacation in walkable places like Europe, historic towns, and the Magic Kingdom, but make it illegal to build those same environments where they actually live.

Btw, this is the main train station for a metro area with a population roughly the same size as Miami, DC, Philly, or Atlanta. (In case you’re wondering how far behind we are)
