FOI data found just one complaint about trans women on women’s hospital wards across responding NHS trusts in England. One.
The evidence does not demonstrate a widespread problem, yet trans people are facing sweeping restrictions. Policy should be based on evidence, not fear.

Palestine is transforming Western politics.
Large numbers were politicised when Western elites morally disgraced themselves by supporting a genocide.
That led them to look at how their country was run - and the world ordered - in a completely different way.

So it's starting to look like there's a concerted effort by tech companies to deliberately undermine copyright in favour of AI and they are definitely meddling with democracy.
Yesterday, the @UKHouseofLords' Communications Committee was supposed to meet at 2.30pm to grill UK ministers @leicesterliz Liz Kendall and @lisanandy live about what progress the govt has made on AI and copyright since March, particularly relating to transparency about the datasets used to train AI models, and what statutory requirements commercial AI developers will need to adhere to.
Instead, the session was cancelled without warning, and the House of Lords press office tells me that there is no date in the diary currently to reschedule the session.
This is very, very bad news.
🚨 Google continues to lobby the UK government to hand the work of the country's creatives to big tech companies for free.
And it does so by misrepresenting US copyright law, suggesting companies can simply train AI models in the US (where in fact, far from AI training simply being legal, there are 100+ lawsuits currently going through the courts).
The UK government should continue to resist this brazen demand for a handout of artists' work to the most powerful companies in the world.
