Our paper on the digital sensing of protein:aptamer interactions is finally published! One platform shows the ability to sense everything from single proteins up to biomolecular condensates and exosomes, while elucidating many biophysical parameters. Congrats to all authors!
📢 Finally out now: Our paper describing DigitISA, a platform for direct digital sensing of protein biomarkers in solution 🧪 (incl. antibodies, amyloid aggregates & condensates). @KnowlesLabCamb @ChemCambridge Take a look: 👇nature.com/articles/s41467-0…

A new method for determining the interaction strengths among compounds that form biomolecular condensates relies on measurements of just one solute in one phase.

While antibodies have a remarkable track record in therapeutics, achieving sufficient specificity remains an issue. A Review in @NatRevChem discusses the physicochemistry of non-specificity and outlines future opportunities to improve protein binding. go.nature.com/3O8fK1y
En route to Heidelberg for the #EESPhaseSeparation conference. Only a few more countries to cross before Monday morning!
Come find me all week if you want to chat condensates, microfluidics, or bikes!

Great work by @HAusserwoeger, @GeorgKrainer, @TimWelsh_, Tomas, @SchneiderMatth & Therese. Exciting collaboration with @novonordisk
When theorists and experimentals collaborate good things happen @DaoyuanQian219. Excited to share our work on the measurement and mechanistic insights of tie-lines in biomolecular phase diagrams. Also, maybe we should stop calling PEG an "inert crowder"?

More from @KnowlesLab at #bps2022 in #SanFrancisco. @eaandrzejewska @mus_greta, Alyssa & @TimWelsh_ presenting posters on pre-fibrilliar protein #aggregates and single-molecules studies, oligomer-membrane interactions, microfluidic spray-deposition & #biomolecular condensates.
Super happy to have contributed to this fantastic piece of work investigating the underlying nucleation mechanisms in solutions of phase separating proteins!

Thanks to my amazing co-authors @GeorgKrainer, Jorge, @jerelleaj, @rcollepardo and more for their hard work!
@KnowlesLabCamb
Pretty stoked to finish 4th overall (3rd male) in the British 24hr Cycling Time Trial National Championships
Easily met my main goal of breaking the 55 year old Cambridge University record
Taking a day to recover before training loads of new students on microfluidics this week!
Final #transengland21 activity. @theracingcoll
Will be back for more in the future and try to have less mechanicals...
