Starbase Louisiana will ultimately have over a dozen launch towers, enabling more than 30 Starship flights per day and making it the biggest launch site on Earth! SpaceX makes sci-fi real.
Introducing Starbase, Louisiana – a high-cadence launch site that will enable Starship to open a pathway to the stars for humanity. Thank you to @LAGovJeffLandry and the great people of Louisiana for all of their support as we work together on this audacious project → spacex.com/sites/starbase-la

Staged crashes are dangerous acts of fraud that put innocent drivers at risk, burden businesses with fraudulent claims and legal costs, and drive up insurance rates for everyone. Honest drivers shouldn’t have to pay the price for someone else’s crime. freightwaves.com/news/staged…

Update: This "Super El Niño" will be perhaps the strongest in 500 to 1000 years, and could legitimately be the most extreme global weather or climate event experienced by humanity since the invention of the printing press. Only more extreme situation is a volcanic winter.
The upcoming "mega El Niño" could be the strongest since the 1877 event that wiped out 4% of the Earth's population due to heat waves, drought and pestilence. Scientists watching every weather model update are getting "heart palpitations" ❤️

𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗮'𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 This morning, the editorial in @theadvocatebr highlights welcome progress in our state's insurance climate: “Let us cautiously cheer signs that the drastic, cascading property insurance crisis of the past few years may be easing.” ☑️ Premium increases have flattened significantly in 2026, following years of steep rises. ☑️ Only a few insurers are proposing rate increases this year, and a handful have filed for decreases. ☑️ As of June, the Citizens, the state-backed insurer of last resort, has seen a nearly 20% drop in its rolls as private carriers return and compete for business. “Overall, it’s a little bit better. We can say things are improving, but I am certainly not satisfied where we are,” added @CommTemple. 👉 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹: buff.ly/esCeg7E

I have been in contact with several officials from across the state today with reports of significant flood, tornado and other wind damage sustained from Tropical Storm Arthur. My thoughts are with those who have been impacted by the storm. I'd like to remind policyholders who were affected to contact their insurance company or agent first to file a claim. Here are a few important things to remember about filing an insurance claim for this sort of damage. First, flood damage is not covered by a standard homeowners insurance policy. Most flood policies are written through the NFIP, although some flood insurance is written outside of that program. Contact your flood insurance agent or company if you need to file a claim, or contact the NFIP at floodsmart.gov or 800-621-3362 if you need help. Second, when filing a claim, try to have your policy number and an initial damage assessment ready when you call your insurer. Take as many photos and videos of the damage as you can, and don't throw anything away. You must mitigate further damage by making temporary repairs, like tarping a roof. Keep receipts for those materials. Last, once you start any repair’s, be on the lookout for contractor fraud. Be sure to check for licensure and identification before moving forward with any contractor or adjuster. The LDI has a new Storm Resource Center with more detailed tips at LDI.LA.GOV. I encourage you to visit our site if you need help. If you were affected by the storm, your La. Dept of Ins. is here to help.

𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Tropical storm, Invest 90-L, is forecast to move into the Gulf today bringing high winds, widespread rain and flash flooding over parts of the state through Thursday night. 𝗕𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱: @CommTemple reminds residents to be insurance ready, “Louisianans should monitor this disturbance and take necessary precautions.” Here are three critical steps to take now: 📃 Review your Policies: Know your deductibles and make sure you know how much money you will owe out of pocket if you need to file a claim. 📱 Document Your Property. Use your phone to take pictures of your property and belongings, including information like brand name and serial number. 🖊️ Make an Evacuation Plan. Have copies of your insurance policies and your agent’s contact information ready to go in case of an emergency evacuation. The insurance & trucking companies weren’t the only victims that were taking advantage of in this crime by attorneys - the participants were directed to get unnecessary surgeries that has permanently damaged some of them. And also, shame on those doctors they worked with..
