This MSNOW headline below is BULLSHIT. Working with state and local law enforcement WAS OUR STRATEGY. Regardless of who put handcuffs on the violent criminals.
That’s precisely why we changed how UFAP warrants were used and expanded FBI agent scoping to empower our agents to get dangerous criminals off the streets—criminals prior leadership would have ignored.
I’m not going to let this piece of filth rewrite history. FACT - I told the FBI SAICs on weekly calls that I didn’t give a damn who arrested the violent street thugs, as long as we assisted in getting them OFF THE STREETS. I said it repeatedly, and I meant every word.
Prior FBI leadership’s decisions to largely avoid working with state and local law enforcement absent a direct federal nexus was a COMPLETE FAILURE.
WE changed that strategy. WE prioritized cooperation over bureaucratic turf wars. WE put getting criminals off the streets ahead of arrest statistics and institutional egos.
And I firmly believe that shift helped drive crime down. I will not sit quietly while people distort the record and take credit for a strategy they never supported.

Thrilled to join FBI Lab Division thanking the team for their work and honoring a recent huge milestone - they just wiped out a 1.8 million DNA sample backlog to ZERO in 18 months.
The FBI is statutorily required under the “DNA Fingerprint Act of 2005” to receive and process collected DNA samples from federally convicted offenders, arrestees, and non-U.S. citizen detainees.
These samples are required to be sent to the FBI Laboratory Division for processing – we get around 50k a month. This literally solves crimes across the country, like unsolved homicides, mass shootings, sexual assaults, and other violent offenses.
There had been a massive backlog at the FBI Lab for years - literally breaking federal statutory requirements. Another example of institutionalized bureaucracy from prior leadership that left crimes across America unsolved.
When we got here, we changed it. This FBI dedicated more resources, more equipment, improved IT systems, and used business analytics for DNA processing.
Lab worked and got it done. The DNA backlog is officially at ZERO.
Just more evidence of the monumental and necessary changes made by this FBI and an incredible team who executed made it happen.

They’re called “Offices of New Americans.”
Their national network reports participation from 24 states.
These offices expand immigrant services, advise governors and lawmakers, and—in some states—provide free lawyers to fight deportation.
And “New Americans” doesn’t mean you have to be an American citizen.
New York explicitly includes people born abroad and their children “irrespective of immigration status.”
That includes illegal immigrants.
The American Immigration Council and World Education Services help states expand this model through coaching, research and policy advice.
The playbook even explains how to give these offices “continuity across administrations.”

For more than a year and a half, we have been digging into Jody Allen’s Wild Lives Foundation and organizations like Washington Wildlife First, following the funding and connections behind the preservationist and animal-rights agenda increasingly influencing Washington wildlife policy.
It was a gut punch to realize that what we had been wondering about was sitting right in front of all of us. I think I had just driven past the VMAC when the revelation hit.
The woman most Washingtonians knew as the billionaire owner of the Seattle Seahawks was also funding organizations involved in the very fights sportsmen have been dealing with here in Washington.
And the hypocrisy is hard to ignore. Pretty hard to not feel totally deceived.
Washington hunters and anglers have spent decades supporting the Seahawks. Buying tickets, merchandise, and spending Sundays watching games.
But when those same people wanted to spend their own money and their own time hunting, fishing, trapping, putting meat in the freezer and teaching their children to enjoy the outdoors, we’re seeing wealthy interests use their checkbooks to influence the policies governing those activities.
Meanwhile, most sportsmen had no idea that the billionaire who owned their favorite NFL team was financially connected to organizations working to “reform” 😒 wildlife policy in Washington and non-profits deeply entrenched with the commissioners most recently under investigation by the Governor’s office
One person’s massive wealth should not give them the ability to quietly reshape how an entire state recreates and lives, manages wildlife and feeds itself simply because their personal beliefs are different from those of the regular people living here.
We need Washingtonians to understand who and what we are dealing with so we can have the best chance possible at preserving our heritage and wildlife conservation into the future.

Coast Guard lieutenant gunned down in Washington State shooting as police launch search for killer
August 29, 2026
A U.S. Coast Guard officer was killed during a suspected random shooting in Washington State as police launched a search for the suspected killer.
Coast Guard Lieutenant Connor Overstreet was fatally shot just before 12:40 a.m. Sunday in a residential neighborhood of Bryn Mawr-Skyway, Wash., 10 miles south of Downtown Seattle.
First responders found the 29-year-old in the roadway and attempted life-saving procedures, but the active-duty service member later died, Fox 13 Seattle reported.
Overstreet’s death was ruled a homicide from a gunshot wound to the chest, the King County Medical Examiner announced Tuesday.
No arrests have been made and officials have not publicly identified a suspect in the shooting.
The county sheriff’s office created a tipline asking for residents to submit any surveillance footage facing the street between 12:30 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. Sunday.
Additional details about the shooting were not released because of the ongoing investigation.
Overstreet, a native of Reno, Nevada, was stationed at California’s Air Station Ventura at the time of his death.
His remains were flown back to the base Friday with full honors.
“The Coast Guard is deeply saddened to confirm the death of LT Connor Overstreet, an active-duty member at Coast Guard Air Station Ventura, following an incident in the Seattle area,” the US Coast Guard Pacific Area told KING 5. “We extend our deepest condolences to the member’s family, friends and shipmates during this tragic time.”
Overstreet's family is offering $11,000 reward in the investigation into the homicide.
Overstreet’s wife, Madeleine, called for justice for her “soulmate” on behalf of his family
“Connor was my rock and I am so honored to be Connor’s wife forever and always. All Connor wanted to do was save lives by flying for the Coast Guard. His loss is a tragedy felt by countless people. He was truly the best of us,” she said in a statement to Fox13.
“We plead with you to help us find answers, justice and peace for Connor and all who loved him so deeply,” the grieving widow added.
Overstreet’s family announced a $11,000 reward to help solve the investigation into the killing.
“I plead with the public to come forward with any information that may help bring justice for Connor,” his father Brennan Overstreet told the outlet. “Nothing can bring our son back but we have increased the reward for information in hopes to bring us answers in this unimaginable tragedy.
“Our family is devastated by the senseless loss of Connor. He brought joy, love, and kindness to all who knew him and the world is a darker place without him in it,” he said
