From @GaigeDavila: ā€œWe’ve seen a sea change, in just two years: a sea change in Latino voting from what we saw in ’24, where we saw a substantial number of Latinos vote for Trump, vote for Republicans.ā€ texasobserver.org/south-texa…

"On Wednesday, ABC News published a report on the massive federal contracts worth more than $6 billion that have been awarded to companies backed by the Trump brothers. A day later, it was gone... Media consolidation has handed most of the big networks to billionaires who are either Trump allies or have business before his administration, and usually both. Case in point of the week: the Paramount/Warner Brothers merger win for Trump-buddy David Ellison. But this ABC debacle proves that you don’t even need a friendly owner. You just need a company with business before the administration, broadcast licenses to hold onto, and regulators to please. That’s all it takes." plus.briantylercohen.com/p/a…

Zach Bryan wore a ā€œFree Palestineā€ shirt onstage at Gillette Stadium Friday, weeks after stadium owner Robert Kraft said Macklemore would not be allowed to perform at the venue following his pro-Palestinian comments. Macklemore had been scheduled to open for Ed Sheeran at Gillette before Kraft announced he would be barred from the show. Several other artists later dropped out of Sheeran’s tour in solidarity with Macklemore. Read more: cbsn.ws/3VsuLTH

I could only make it halfway through this transcript before I had to stop. It’s almost unbelievable that this man is the President of the United States. He rarely finishes a coherent thought. At one point, he actually says that all of his decisions ā€œare correct ones.ā€ His explanations of the national debt and basic economics are astonishingly muddled. And he makes false claim after false claim with absolute confidence. I can't tell if he's just doesnt care that he's lying or actually belives the lies himself. Reading the transcript—not watching him, not hearing the delivery, just reading his actual words—is jarring. time.com/article/2026/10/01/…

BREAKING: DHS just confirmed they have lifted their "pause" on construction in Big Bend National Park. They've put Texas' crown jewel national park right back on the chopping block. We'll be in court tomorrow in El Paso demanding a permanent halt to the destruction.

For more than two months, I have been working on a truly horrific story about one of the gravest war crimes committed by the United States since Vietnam: The bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Iran. It was one of the first targets struck in the opening hours of the war on February 28, 2026. At least 156 people were killed in the U.S. cruise missile strikes—120 of them were children and 26 were teachers. We spoke to survivors, first responders, parents, doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other witnesses. Some of them had never before shared their experiences of that day. It would be impossible to do justice to what happened in Minab that day with words alone. In more than 25 years in journalism and reporting on war, I do not believe I have reported on a more heinous single crime. Massacre at Minab: The School That Became a Grave dropsitenews.com/p/minab-sch… Please share this story with as many people as you can.
