I had fun, laughed a lot, made new friends, did good work in different roles, made mistakes, experienced setbacks, had conflicts & disagreements, felt frustrated, bounced back multiple times, navigated change, adapted, learned a lot, grew wiser, found clarity for the future.

Back home after a unique experience together with @Huuhkajat in New Zealand. Grateful for the group of people I get to work with. Gradually we’re building a competitive team that will be ready to get us back into a major tournament.

Happy New Year! Saying goodbye to 2025 and social media (for a while at least) with a snowy post from my hometown Vaasa in Finland. May all your dreams and hopes for 2026 come true.

Great interview on the importance of giving players a real chance to impact the future of football. The less the key stakeholders wants to engage with players, coaches, fans, referees, etc., the closer we get to a breaking point. ft.com/content/0e7f8176-55ac… via @ft

Huuhkajat kohtaa kesäkuun alussa Hollannin ja Puolan. Jacob Friisin valmennustiimissä miettii kuvioita myös Tim Sparv, Huuhkajien monivuotinen kapteeni.

Season 2024/2025 with Sparta came to an end yesterday. From qualification to the Champions League to losing a cup final & finishing 4th in the league. It’s not been good enough… Time for a short break to reset before it’s full focus on Finland & our games v Holland & Poland.
