Huge congratulations from everyone at Reform UK to Richard Tice and Isabel Oakeshott on their marriage yesterday. 🍾

The left-wing extremist who is accused of murdering my colleague Ann Widdecombe and targeting my friend Nigel Farage "held an extreme left-wing mindset".
Now ask yourself:
Where is the big national debate about left-wing extremism?
Where are the BBC documentaries and podcasts about left-wing extremism?
Where are the calls to warn children in schools and universities about left-wing extremism?
Where are the government 'counter-terror units' stating that if you read, say, Karl Marx or Antonio Gramsci then you are "on a pathway to terror"?
Where are the think-tanks producing major research reports on left-wing extremism and its followers?
Where are the multi-million pound research grants going to academics who investigate left-wing terror?
If it was far-right we all know what would happen. Wall to wall blanket coverage, analysis, and debate.
Does anybody else notice the silence?

🚨 Statement from Misley Mandarin, First Minister of the Chagossian Government.
Cllr Tim Charters retweeted
This is totally dishonest journalism. I make it clear that I am opposed to the surrender of sovereignty to Mauritius. I would offer the use of Diego Garcia to the USA in perpetuity. In return I would want America to go quiet on the Falklands.
No one has fought harder to save the Chagos Islands from being given away than I have, unlike the Tories and Labour trying to give them away. I have even helped repopulate the islands with Chagossians.

STATEMENT:
The man charged with murdering Ann Widdecombe with a hammer has now also been charged with preparing acts of terror against Nigel Farage MP.
Today, a court heard he allegedly travelled to Nigel's home last year and tried to break in.
A bottle of lighter fluid was found on the porch.
This apparent firebomb attempt was investigated at the time.
The police received CCTV footage of the incident.
It has since been revealed that CCTV from Nigel's home captured both a suspect and their car "over an extended period".
And yet, despite being in possession of that CCTV footage, the police claimed they could identify no suspects and closed the case.
Read those last two sentences again.
Counter-terror police have since referred themselves to the police watchdog, which is investigating a member of their staff.
Why did it take the brutal murder of my dear friend Ann for the police to do their jobs?
Anger does not begin to describe how we at Reform feel about this.
The Police and the Home Secretary have serious questions to answer about how threats against Reform are handled.
This is not going away.
Cllr Tim Charters retweeted
How can an entire town be locked down so we can import people to our country that we have no idea who they are, and the Home Secretary thinks could well be rapists?
The state is now egregiously acting against the interests of the people. Why? What are they trying to do to us?
Just for context this is the size of the order issued. 👇
Hampshire Police have imposed a Section 34 dispersal order over the whole of Gosport until 7am Tuesday, covering about 82,600 residents.
Officers can order people to leave and not return; refusal is an arrestable offence.
Face-covering powers and a designated protest area at Walpole car park are also in force.
The trigger is one small boat, reported as carrying dozens, that may be brought ashore at Fort Blockhouse. Utter madness..

France is on fire and serves as a warning to Britain.
More than 600 arrested.
85 police and gendarmes wounded.
356 schools hit.
Masked rioters have torched schools, doused teachers in petrol and forced staff to barricade themselves inside.
In Nantes, the entrance hall of Nelson Mandela High School was burned out.
In Marseille, staff at Victor Hugo High were doused with petrol during an arson attempt.
Youths in balaclavas battered a fire engine until it caught fire.
Then cheered.
A headteacher was hit by a mortar firework and taken to hospital.
Shocking footage shows a policewoman chased and attacked.
Aerosol cans were piled up and detonated on one of Europe’s longest shopping streets in Bordeaux.
Buses, trams and metros have been shut in Marseille, Strasbourg and Grenoble.
The riots came after the left-wing mayor of Saint-Denis, Bally Bagayoko, declared that “violence can be legitimate.”
Britain has a far left that is emboldened and regularly calls for violence against their political opponents.
They (allegedly) murdered a beloved right-wing politician.
They are actively intimidating right-wing parties campaigning in the Holborn by-election.
With no consequences.
They are routinely aided by the state.
Remember the BLM riots?
The mob that toppled Edward Colston’s statue?
They were acquitted after arguing that the *statue itself* constituted a hate crime.
The Tories allowed the far left to act violently with impunity.
Labour is emboldening them further.
Unless we have political leaders brave enough to stand up to these people and take action, scenes like the ones in France will come to Britain too.
Britain needs Reform.

Dear CPS,
Please confirm if you have charged the 80,000 + illegals who have invaded our country since the general election?
Please confirm why it is a crime to try to stop such illegality by doing the job the police & Border Force should be doing?
Please confirm why you think this is in the public interest. Millions will think the opposite, that you are bringing our justice system into disrepute and destroying people’s confidence in it.
Weird how you took many months to charge the Manchester Airport thugs for assault against police officers. (Only after I started a private criminal prosecution)
Yet you rush this through in days?
Seriously?

Tim is right to flag this issue for Crawley.
Mid Sussex is watching too – local councils should not play hide-and-seek with asylum numbers.
The Home Office records 304 supported asylum seekers in Crawley.
This is where the statistical gymnastics comes in. As soon as an asylum seeker is granted refugee status (which seems to be a rubber-stamping YES process), they come off the books. They will not publish refugee numbers.
So both the boroughs/districts and county councils are forced to support the mistakes made by successive governments. Our housing is stretched, school places diminished, SEND support far beyond capacity, adult social care costs ballooning and on and on.
We don't know the numbers because they are hidden. How can councils possibly plan and operate like this? They can't do so effectively so they go into tremendous debt and raise taxes thanks to these incoming and invisible extra pressures - mostly the fault of the Home Office and thus the governments of the past decades.
I've put together some provisional numbers and am pursuing getting something a little more accurate now.

Women’s safety is not a slogan in Crawley.
Reform UK Crawley put on a workshop and got stuck in. It's what a party looks like when it means it. Well done Tim!
If you’d like something similar in Mid Sussex, say so in the comments – if enough interest we may look at putting one on.

Level 2 and 3 plumbing courses are FREE for illegal migrants while young Britons pay thousands.
You get more for breaking into this country than for being born in it. It's a disgrace.
Reform will ban migrants from handouts and incentivise employers to hire our own people.

The Tories really haven’t learned a damn thing. 🤦🏻♀️
First we get headlines about Kemi potentially ABOLISHING inheritance tax.
Then days later we’re told it would be “very expensive”, they’re still “looking at ways” to do it, and Tory insiders admit they haven’t even worked up their plans beyond the first year of the next parliament.
This is exactly the difference with Reform.
Reform have been honest about what they want to do, what comes first, and what has to be affordable. Tax cuts for ordinary working people first, then more as the savings allow.
The Tories are still doing what they always do… chase the big headline, make the promise, then figure out afterwards whether they can actually deliver it.
We had 14 years of that.

We will fight any attempt by Labour to retrospectively change the law on donations.
Labour and the Tories have handed out peerages and honours to big donors for years.
Reform is the only party that doesn’t sell political favours. We will fix broken Britain.
Cllr Tim Charters retweeted
Labour is bankrolled by self-serving union donations but wants to stop Reform UK being bankrolled by successful businessmen. That’s all you need to know about Labour double standards
Cllr Tim Charters retweeted
The old parties are so scared of @reformparty_uk winning that they want to change fundraising laws to stop @Nigel_Farage becoming Prime Minister. This really shows why Britain needs Reform
Cllr Tim Charters retweeted
Labour are prepared to do whatever it takes to rig the system in their favour. Changing the voting age, cancelling elections, gerrymandering boundaries, retrospectively banning legitimate donations...
Scary stuff.
🚨 What Angela Rayner just said on #BBCLauraK is TERRIFYING.
Labour wants to change electoral laws and apply the new rules retrospectively.
Think about what that means.
You do something completely legal today, then five years later, politicians change the rules and apply them backwards.
Today it’s political donations.
What is it tomorrow?
Your taxes? Your business? Something you posted online?
This from a country where 60,000+ people have already been arrested over social media posts and the Government wants to restrict jury trials.
Now they want to change laws and apply them after something had already happened legally and make it illegal.
This isn’t democracy.
It’s tyrannical and people need to wake up to where this is heading.

Young people didn't break Britain. The people in charge did: Houses they can't buy. Jobs that don't pay. Bills that don't quit.
Zia's right. It's time they had a country worth staying in.
Join us. Vote Reform!
Cllr Tim Charters retweeted
Since 2010, the established parties have taken nearly £1 billion in donations, and handed out dozens of peerages in return.
In their first year, Labour handed out £138 million of government contracts to their donors. The Tories are just as bad.
You know what Ben Delo and Christopher Harborne want?
Nothing. Just a government that will fix Britain.
And that's what Reform UK will deliver.
I'm proud to have the support of some of Britain's most successful entrepreneurs.

Well, what to say about Durham County Council and @ReformDurham? They deserve to be in the news. They deserve national coverage, for everything they're delivering for residents in County #Durham. How's this?
🇬🇧 Scrapped stupid net zero schemes with no business case and found tens of millions in savings.
🇬🇧 Delivered lowest council increase with no use of reserves in the United Kingdom (just 1.99%)
🇬🇧 Investing £264m in the County with new schools providing 200 SEN places, more disability support and AI digital infrastructure to make things even more efficient.
🇬🇧 Scrapped the climate emergency and declared a social care emergency.
🇬🇧 Vowed to re-industrialise the county and to protect farmers.
🇬🇧 Brought in new rules to enable them to resist new HMOs and support communities
🇬🇧 Saved the county tens of millions by re-negotiating major waste contracts and by pulling out of the very expensive repair of Milburngate, which the Lib Dems had committed them to.
🇬🇧 Through scrutiny of the proposed TVERF (Energy Recovery Facility/Incinerator) project, secured the best deal for the people of County Durham (and wider North East), with savings of c73m vs initial tender submission
🇬🇧 £26m investment in the new Villa Real SEND school, and a further £33m investment in SEND provision generally.
🇬🇧 Major investment in tackling homelessness through the provision of new temporary accommodation
🇬🇧 Significant improvements for towns and villages enhancements, developing local community assets and restoring civic pride
🇬🇧 Investing in facilities to keep disabled people living independently in their own homes.
🇬🇧 Reduced borrowing by £21.3m, resulting in a net revenue saving in capital financing costs of £720k.
🇬🇧 Opened a new play area and tower at Hardwick Park, with cafe refurbishment works scheduled for the new year.
🇬🇧 Highways improvements have resulted in pothole reports falling by a third, with data showing that they're delivering better quality and larger scale repairs.
🇬🇧 Construction has started on a new Bishop Auckland leisure centre.
That's not a bad list is it, for 12 months in the job?! Thrown in at the deep end in 2025 with a HUGE win, a group of 60+ people from all walks of life coming together for the first time to do something new. Yes there have been challenges - inevitable! - but my god they're cracking on with some good stuff for Durham residents.
