Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton doesn’t stop at silencing legislators. Tonight, he had this grandmother arrested for speaking in the gallery against a bill to abolish community oversight boards of police that would undo the will of Nashville voters. This is not democracy.

Bad news for rural TN and suburbs: the TN GOP is coming for your local public schools’ 💰 next. Charters aren’t just a Nashville & Memphis problem anymore. Don’t want them? Too bad! The state charter commission will override your local decisions and make you take them. #education – at Nashville, TN
