It's been a while since I've released a new album, but this fall I spent some time up at Lake Itasca, the headwaters of the Mississippi, and produced a new album of the lake fed stream that becomes the mighty river. So here is the newest album entitles Perfect Stream.
A friend sent me this, asking if this person, or
@KrotosAudio had anything to do with Jurassic World Rebirth, the answer is NO, I have no idea why Krotos is seemingly running what may be a pretty misleading ad that sort of implies it. To be clear, I do not use Krotos software.
I'm not here much, but I have released a new Soundminer v6.2 Update video covering most of the main new features in this new version. It's free, about an hour long and anyone who would like can download it at tinyurl.com/ycy4j6h7.
One of the most adventurous mixes I'd taken part in, and an amazing Doc as well. I hope people will get the chance to see this soon.

Sad that this company ELVTR is posting ads like this on Facebook and other places. This person does trailers, he is not the sound designer 'behind' any of these projects. So sad and disrespectful and deceptive. I hope people do not support them @elvtrcom.
All I kept thinking watching The Substance was, the person who made this is WAY too obsessed with 'The Fly'.
I've extended the sale over at Sonofex through Monday, and code 'Cyber Monday' will still get you 30% off anything on the site. there won't be any sales for a long time after this. sonofex.com
This will be the last post here on Twitter before closing my account. Just a reminder, today and tomorrow, Black Friday 2024 code will get 30% off at Sonofex. But once that expires, I'll close this Twitter account. I can be found over on Bluesky under sonofex.bsky.social
The Black Friday sale at Sonofex runs until Nov. 25, use code 'Black Friday 2024' to save 30% of anything on the site. The coupon code has changed, so posting again. sonofex.com
Getting ready to abandon Twitter. For the audio exodus heading over to Bluesky, please feel free to find me there, @sonofex.bsky.social
I'm running one final sale over at sonofex.com, coupon code 'Black Friday 24' will take off 30% anything you put in the cart. I will likely shut down the website at the end of the year, so if you've wanted the Soundminer Tutorials, now is the time to get them...
For a while I’ve wanted to get of all social media. With the disastrous electrion results, no way I can stay on Twitter. And Facebook too I’d like to leave. But I realize running a website, it’s nearly impossible NOT to be on social media.
My friend @sepulchra is an amazing sound person and great teacher, for any ProTools beginners out there, check out his upcoming class.

I have heard that there is a memorial for Ann Kroeber this Friday in San Rafael CA. Does anyone have the details?
How do people tolerate Linked In. Made the mistake of singing up again for a week. Literally dozens of emails, and the process to try and unsubscribe, they literally have like 30+ settings for email lists that you have to uncheck one by one. Nope, easier to just close the account
