We continue to conduct tow truck enforcement throughout Peel Region! In 2025, we have laid almost 2000 charges for towing related offences
Earlier in December, we stopped this tow driven by a suspended driver...
The driver was charged, the tow truck was impounded for 7 days

After an intensive investigation, our Major Collision Bureau has arrested the suspect responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police would like to thank the public for their collaboration and assistance in this investigation, which helped identify the suspect.

Eli, 25 years old.
Described as 4'10", 85-95 lbs, green eyes, partial white eyebrows and eyelashes with white patches of hair. Eli has a flower and seahorse tattoo on the left forearm and a rainbow tattoo on the right upper arm.
Police would like to check Eli's well being.

Today marks the end of a sad chapter for the TorontoPolice . On July 25, 2023, Bingo was shot and killed while searching for a man wanted for a recent homicide. After two years, he was sentenced to 14 years in custody, including four years specifically for killing Bingo. Our Police Dog partners are valued members of our service and losing one in such a tragic way is a painful reminder of the dangers that all members of our TPA family face. Our focus today will be on supporting Sergeant Brandon Smith, Bingo’s handler at the time of his death, his family, and colleagues. #RIPBingo TPSK9
